Pamela Anderson has, once again, proved that she is the ultimate beauty icon after going make-up free to another high-profile event.
Now, as we know, women should be able to exist just as they are without it being considered some radical statement (e.g. not shaving your legs, not wearing a bra, etc) but, unfortunately, it's far from the status quo especially in Hollywood.
One woman who has time and time again done away with the archaic beauty standards is the beloved 57-year-old Baywatch star who has been praised for her bare-faced look at the 2024 San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain over the weekend.

Anderson was spotted at the Kursaal photocall for a drama released earlier this month, The Last Showgirl.
The film, directed by Gia Coppola and written by Kate Gersten, boasts a star-studded cast including Jamie Lee Curtis, Dave Bautista, Brenda Song and Billie Lourd joining Anderson.
Donning a stunning floor-length colourful gown and neutral heels to pair, the Hollywood A-lister completed the ensemble with her voluminous locks pushed back and what looks like a very natural 'barely there' make-up look.

After images of Anderson circulated online, fans rushed in to share their praise for her with one Instagram user writing: "Natural beauty inside and outside…"
A second wrote: "Wow, beautiful skin!"
"I love her evolution so much," gushed a third, while a fourth penned: "Could she be more perfect?"

A fifth awed over the actor's 'glowing' visage, while another chimed in: "This woman is still so beautiful. It’s that’s smile!"
And a final Instagram user echoed: "Mad respect... RESPECT!"
While it shouldn't be a big deal whatsoever if celebs decide to wear make-up or not during public events, it's clear that it's sadly very much not the norm - hence all the praise.

Anderson previously opened up about the reason as to why she's scaled back her signature bombshell make-up look, telling Elle Magazine last August that it came shortly after a huge personal loss.
After losing her close friend and makeup artist, Alexis Vogel, to breast cancer in 2019, Anderson made the decision to leave her iconic look behind.
"She was the best," the mum-of-two shared. "And since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it’s just better for me not to wear makeup."
Anderson also revealed that ditching the makeup look that helped skyrocket her to fame was actually a welcomed change, telling the outlet that the novel experience was 'freeing, and fun, and a little rebellious, too'.

In a conversation with The New York Times, she described her new stripped-back look as a way of 'peeling back off the layers of [her] life'.
"I’m a fresh slate now, at the starting position of the next chapter," she said, adding that this chapter is 'going to be even better' now that she doesn't have to 'pretend to be something that [she's] not'.
Anderson admitted: “I’m enjoying the process of getting older.
"The things that are happening to my face - a little elasticity is leaving - I’m finding humour in that. I feel sexier now that I have some secrets and some mystery. We don’t learn that until later in our lives."
Words to live by.
