Pete Davidson has revealed the sad reason why he's decided to step away from his celebrity status.
The 31-year-old Saturday Night Live comedian has very much so been in the public eye following his acting endeavours and his highly-publicised relationships with some of the world's biggest celebrities.
Davidson's dating history includes the likes of Kim Kardashian,Wicked star Ariana Grande, models Emily Ratajkowski and Kaia Gerber and reportedly The Substance actress, Margaret Qualley.

However, it's clear the actor feels his life in the spotlight is now 'over' and it appears as if he couldn't be happier.
Speaking in a new interview with W Magazine, Davidson shared: "I don’t know if you’ve noticed it, but I’ve been laying low."
He went on to admit the interviewer was '100 percent correct' when they asked if Davidson was feeling 'oversaturated'.

"You’re 100 percent correct, because I was oversaturated," the comedian revealed. "In The Sopranos, there’s this line from Tony that’s like, 'You ever feel like you got into something at the end? When the good times were over?' That’s how I feel about show business and being a celebrity. It’s over."
Explaining what it was like blowing up in the biz all of a sudden, Davidson reflected: "When you’re first coming up, and getting all these offers, it’s hard to say no, because you’re hungry.
"I made the mistake of doing literally everything."

However, now that he's 'older and wiser', Davidson says he's finally realising that 'less is more'.
Making another reference, he explained: "Like Christian Bale. He does one movie every two, three years, but you go f*cking see it. Leo[nardo DiCaprio] does one movie every four years, but it’s the biggest thing in the world.
"It’s because you miss them. People have to miss you."
Continuing to reflect on becoming one of the most well-known faces seemingly overnight, Davidson recalled: "Luckily, I got hit on the face with the Hollywood shovel. It was a long time coming, and I needed it. I’m very happy where I am right now, mentally."

And as for how his fans perceive him now?
Well, Davidson simply wants to be known for 'doing good work'.
"I want to be out there only when it’s movie, stand-up, charity, or business ventures," he explained. "That’s when I want to be seen."

Making a reference to his high-profile romances with the likes of Kardashian and Grande, Davidson admitted: "I don’t want to be this f*cking loser who just dates people. That’s not who I am. But people hate celebrities now.
"The media takes a handful of celebs every couple of years, and they just destroy them. For some reason, I’m one of the people they chose to go after."
However, according to Davidson, there could be a silver lining in the situation as he explained: "It’s actually, in a way, a blessing, because it allowed me to take a step back and evaluate things.
"What do you want to be? Who are you? I’m someone who is from Staten Island, wanted to do stand-up, and if I got to do anything else because of stand-up, it was a miracle."
"You’re not a loser who just dates people," the interviewer confirmed, prompting Davidson to respond: "Thank you very much! Because that voice was very loud in my head for a while."
