Things have been tense between Prince Harry and Prince William, and one of their last official appearances together reportedly shows that.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their final engagement as working royals five years ago, at the Commonwealth Day Service of Celebration.
In January 2020, the couple revealed their decision to step down from their positions as senior members of the royal family, but made their final appearance just two months following this.

They joined Queen Elizabeth, Charles, Prince William, Kate, and other family members at the outing, and while it appeared that everything looked polished and perfect, some have speculated that it was anything but.
In a clip from the event, Harry and Meghan can be seen sat behind William and Kate at the church service, and as they took their seats on the front row, Meghan smiled and waved at them, even saying hello.
As William and Kate took their seats, Harry appears to turn into his wife and speak.

Lip reader Jeremy Freeman has now deciphered the comment Harry made to Meghan, as he told the Daily Mail what he believes Harry said.
According to Freeman, Harry told Meghan: "At least they acknowledged, unlike last time."
The pointed ending of Harry's statement could be in reference to the difficulties that were brewing between the two brothers.
Freeman also watched what William said to Kate as he sat down next to her after the initial exchange. The now-Prince of Wales allegedly said to Kate: "That was executed well. It's quite good to connect instead of holding things back like always."

He then reportedly added: "I know it's bad, I ought to have words with him. He'll shout and God knows what but things'll change, won't it?"
Meghan has also previously shared how the couple's final appearance as working royals went down. Speaking in 2022 during her and Harry's Netflix series, she said: "The first time that we saw the other members of the family was in public at Westminster Abbey."
Harry explained: "We were nervous seeing the family because all the TV cameras and everybody watching at home and everybody watching in the audience.
"It's like living through a soap opera where everybody else views you as entertainment."

While Harry and Meghan appeared to be part of the royal family and close with William and Kate, Harry has revealed it felt very different.
The Duke of Sussex added: "I felt really distant from the rest of my family, which was interesting because so much of how they operate is about what it looks like, rather than what it feels like.
"And it looked cold. But it also felt cold."

At the time of their departure as senior members of the royal family, Queen Elizabeth released a rare and emotional statement regarding her grandson.
She said: "My family and I are entirely supportive of Harry and Meghan's desire to create a new life as a young family.
"Although we would have preferred them to remain full-time working Members of the Royal Family, we respect and understand their wish to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a valued part of my family."
