Prince Harry and Meghan Markle became friends with Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi after the royals moved to Montecito, California.
However, the former talk show host, 66, and the Arrested Development actor, 51, recently hauled their belongings across the pond and moved to the Cotswolds.
Last month, a source close to Ellen and her wife Portia de Rossi informed the press that the couple —who married in 2008 — had put their colossal Los Angeles mansion on the market and fled America for good.

The couple’s relocation came shortly after Donald Trump’s election win, however, DeGeneres has not explicitly said the move was due to this reason.
The move was largely overshadowed by reports that their new Cotswolds home had flooded as a result of Storm Bert.
However, DeGeneres marked 20 years with her wife in an Instagram post on 1 December and addressed the rumours.

She wrote: "20 years ago today we began this relationship not realizing what a long beautiful adventure this would be. You are the best thing that ever happened in my life."
She added: "So happy we get to travel and explore the world together in the next 20 years, and looking forward to our first snowy Christmas."
DeGeneres emphatically concluded: "P.S. for those of you concerned, our UK farmhouse did NOT flood."

Before moving to the UK, DeGeneres and de Rossi became pals with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex after the latter’s decision to step back from royal duties in 2020.
The four of them will keep a long-distance friendship, as both Harry, 40, and the former Suits actor, 43, are planning to ‘stay close’ to the couple.
“Harry has already been giving them all sorts of advice on the Cotswolds,” a source told InTouch. “The vibe there is very similar to Montecito, just with a whole lot more rain, and Harry knows it quite well.
“Ellen and Portia have been absolute rocks for Meghan and Harry from the moment they moved to California,” the source added.

“They helped them get settled in Montecito and introduced them to so many great people, they’re such a huge part of Meghan and Harry’s circle.
“The silver lining, at least as far as Harry’s concerned, is that Meghan might actually agree to go over the UK to visit them.”
“Knowing that she’d have Ellen and Portia’s support over there would be a real help and might be enough to get her to change her mind about never setting foot there again.”
