Rebel Wilson welcomes second daughter with adorable detail behind sweet name

Rebel Wilson is a mom… again! The Pitch Perfect actress, 45, and wife Ramona Agruma, 42, announced on Instagram on 4 May that they welcomed a second daughter, Rose Estelle, a big sister for their three-year-old daughter Royce Lilly. The name appears to have special meaning as all four members in the family have first names that start with "R."

“What a gorgeous blessing it is to have another little girl! Now on May 4th it’s now 4 of us,” Wilson said in a caption on Instagram. “Ramona and I are feeling so incredibly grateful and blessed to grow our family, thank you everyone for the well wishes.”

The married couple of almost two years — they wed in September 2024 — announced back on 8 December that fashion designer Agruma was pregnant. They broke the news via a video montage on Wilson’s Instagram Stories set to Olivia Dean's "Easy To Fall In Love.” Wilson captioned the short clip, which was reposted from Agruma's TikTok account, 'Big Wilson family news'.

The couple's first daughter, Royce Lillian Elizabeth Wilson, was born via surrogate in 2022 after years of fertility challenges for Wilson. The surrogate was already pregnant when Wilson and Agruma started dating, Wilson said on Let's Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa in 2025.

"I'd already been planning to have a baby, and I'd had an embryo and was already planning to have a baby by a surrogate. So very, very, very early in dating, like three months into dating Ramona, I had to tell her, so I have a surrogate, and it turns out the surrogate's pregnant," she said.

"Ramona just turned to me, was sitting at my kitchen table and she said, 'I love you and I'm gonna love your child just as much,'" she said. "I was so shocked. It's like she didn't even think about it. She just went, 'Oh, that's amazing news.'"

Wilson has previously spoken out about the care she and her wife took with their first daughter's name: “I wanted an original name starting with the letter R and so eventually landed on that one,” she told People Magazine at the time.

Royce shares the same middle name as Wilson, which was inspired by Queen Elizabeth II. As Wilson told People: “Lillian and Elizabeth are both family names carried by women in my family who I admire. Elizabeth, which is also my middle name, after the late Queen.”

There’s been plenty of baby news sweeping the internet. Earlier in the day, Cameron Diaz, 53, and her rockstar husband Benji Madden, announced that they welcomed a third child, Nautus Madden. This name also has special meaning for the couple: Madden said in his post that comes from the Latin root word 'Nauta'. Madden's post noted that the name means "sailor, navigator, voyager...one who embarks on a journey and fears not the unknown."
