We all want to make our partners happy, especially on our anniversary.
However, Rio Ferdinand has been trolled over his tribute to his wife Kate, after the former professional footballer made a rookie error.
Unsurprisingly, it wasn’t long until fans gave him the red card over his social media mistake.

It happened after the 44-year-old shared a sweet tribute to his wife on Instagram, with the former Manchester United player gushing about his bride.
Touchingly, he shared three photos of them along with the caption: “Happy anniversary to my stunning wife x I love you more.”
The first pic showed the happy couple on their wedding day, with them tying the knot in a luxurious five-star hotel in Turkey back in 2019.

Surrounded by their close friends and family, former TOWIE star Kate beamed as she danced with her hubby.
A third pic also had her dressed in all white, as the reality star and Rio shared a passionate kiss on the dance floor with a loved one looking on.
Whilst it might look incredibly romantic, there was a blink-and-you-’ll-miss-it mistake lurking in the second photo.
Posing in a stunning cut-out bikini, Kate smiles for the camera as she stands next to her husband with the sea in the background behind them.

However, when you look closer you realise that Rio’s head is missing – with him being cropped out of the photo from the chin up!
Eagle-eyed fans quickly spotted the editing error and trolled the football pundit about this own goal.
In fact, the post has already received over 277 comments despite only being uploaded yesterday (Sept 27), with fans relentlessly teasing the dad-of-three.

One wrote: "That second photo is funny. Where’s ya head man?" with another adding: “Bro im still looking for you in second photo.”
Meanwhile, some fans suggested that he should try and edit the photo, saying: “Try the crop on that second pic again.”
Even the famous footballer acknowledged his error, writing: “Dunno why insta cropped me out the 2nd pic man…the hat maybe!!!”
However, some of his followers were convinced that the footballing legend had been trying to show off his beautiful bride.

“You know where he wants you to focus your attention on the second pic", joked a fourth fan, with a fifth adding: “Well done Rio, keep punching.”
Though his anniversary tribute might not have gone to plan, we are sure his wife Kate loved it!
