Australian actress Ruby Rose has shared an emotional Instagram story about her family.
Taking to the social media platform today (3 December), 38-year-old Orange is the New Black star Rose wrote: "R.I.P Dad. You leave me. Alone. With many complex emotions."
She then shared two haunting images, one of a woman with her ribcage exposed, and a second of a dark figure holding on to the moon.

Rose has discussed her complex relationship with her father, Peter, who was a racehorse breeder in the past.
In an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald in 2011, Rose shared: "I didn't see my dad for a long time, but when I hit adolescence I went through that period of self-discovery and wanted to know where I came from.
"I was a bit rebellious and needed to do that exploring. But once I did, I realised I didn't need to do it. If I needed an opposite-sex role model, I had my mum - who was like a mum and dad to me."

She went on to add: "It was more about survival than anything else for my mum - she didn't trust anyone. I had my trust broken a lot by my dad and in life it all comes down to trust."
Rose's career was subject to upheaval following her departure from Batwoman following public criticism about her casting.
The series aired on The CW in 2019, and Rose also left social media platform Twitter, as it was then known, as a result of the backlash.

Ultimately, Rose's identity as gender fluid led people to assert Rose as 'not gay enough' for the role, leading the actress to tweet: "Where on earth did ‘Ruby is not a lesbian therefore she can’t be batwoman’ come from — has to be the funniest most ridiculous thing I’ve ever read. I came out at 12? And have for the past 5 years had to deal with ‘she’s too gay’ how do y’all flip it like that? I didn’t change. I wish we would all support each other and our journeys.”
She added: “When women and when minorities join forces we are unstoppable… when we tear each other down it’s much more hurtful than from any group. But hey/ love a challenge I just wish women and the LGBT community supported each other more, My wish was we were all a little kinder and more supportive of each other…Sending everyone my love and gratitude, it’s been a rollercoaster of a year."
Ultimately, in 2020, Rose departed from Batwoman after just one season, claiming that she had quit.

A spokesperson told BBC News in 2021: "The truth is that Warner Bros Television had decided not to exercise its option to engage Ruby for season two of Batwoman based on multiple complaints about workplace behaviour that were extensively reviewed and handled privately out of respect for all concerned."
