Ruth Langsford has been through a lot this year since her shock split from hubby Eamonn Holmes but it seems that doesn’t stop her from wearing her wedding band.
In light of her participation in the Memory Walk for Alzheimer’s disease on 12 October, the talk show host has explained why others should consider taking part.
As reported by News Letter, she said: “Anything I can do to help raise money and awareness for Alzheimer’s Society - I didn’t have to think twice.”

Ruth - who is an ambassador for the charity - added: “That was 14 years ago and each year I’ve been just as keen to get involved again. So much has changed over that time, as a society we hear and speak of dementia far more than we ever did before and now there are new drugs on the horizon, that for the first time prove to slow the progression of Alzheimer’s disease in the early stages.
“Yet with 25,000 people living with dementia in Northern Ireland, many undiagnosed, relying on loved ones for care and support, it’s even more important to come together to help make a difference."
But despite her kind heart and passion for the yearly walk, a shadow has seemingly clouded her achievements.

It’s the fact that she still wears her wedding band, even after filing she divorce from her ex-husband.
When the TV couple announced they planned to get a divorce in May 2024, fans were left shocked - especially those who had watched them present This Morning every Friday from 2006 until 2021.
Ruth and Eamonn had been together since 1996 and married since 2010.

However, nobody expected the Loose Women star to continue to show off her wedding band after the news was announced.
When Ruth posted a video to Instagram showing how she makes a green juice on 1 September, one fan asked in the comment section: "Why has she still got her wedding ring on?"
Replying, the 64-year-old hit back: "Because I’m still married."

Fantastic response.
While Ruth went on to have a break from broadcasting following the split, Eamonn decided not to, and thanked fans on GB News for their support on air.
The day after the statement was put out, he said: "I would like to thank you for your support for Ruth and I over the last few days as to the news of our separation.
“Your support for both of us is very much appreciated.”

However, Eamonn did go on to speak to The Mirror about how much upset it had caused.
"I'm not okay. This is not a good time at all," he admitted at the time.
"It's too early to say, but I hope we can still be friends."
The former couple have one son together, 22-year-old Jack.
