Blake Lively has given a rare insight into her marriage with Ryan Reynolds by revealing the weekly ritual the pair embarked on when they began dating.
Die-hard fans of Gossip Girl actress Lively, 36, and Deadpool & Wolverine’s Reynolds, 47, will already be aware the pair met on the set of 2011’s Green Lantern.
The live-action flick saw the father-of-four playing the titular DC Comics character while Lively portrayed his love interest, Carol Ferris.

At the time, the latter was dating Penn Badgley, 37, while Reynolds was married to Scarlett Johansson, 39, but dating rumours didn’t spark until after the pair had officially split from their other halves.
In 2012, the Hollywood duo announced their marriage and they’ve since welcomed four children - James, nine, Inez, seven, Betty, four, and newborn Olin.
In a new interview, the It Ends With Us star revealed details from her and her husband’s initial courtship.

Whilst promoting her new movie, based on the novel of the same name by Colleen Hoover, Lively confessed her husband used to send her flowers every week.
But that wasn’t all because inside the bouquet was a ‘romantic’ detail.
"When my husband and I first got together, he would send me a bouquet of flowers every week," the mum-of-four told PEOPLE.
“But he would always send a card and it would just be a sentence of something that had happened that week. Something funny or emotional that one of us said.”

"It was just a little quote of the week,” Lively added. "It was such a beautiful, romantic thing. Now we have 4,000 children!”
Ahead of It Ends With Us’ release, Reynolds starred in a shock mock-interview to hilariously promote the movie.
Sitting alongside Brandon Sklenar, 34, who plays Lively’s character’s love interest Atlas Corrigan, Reynolds said: “I saw you posing in a photo with Mrs. Reynolds, do you guys have a nickname or something?”
Sklenar replied in the negative before Reynolds continued: "Anyway I saw this photo... it was pretty suggestive. I got it right here, I'm gonna get right to it. How do you explain that?”

He showed a close-up photo of Sklenar's backside before exclaiming: "Is it genetics? Do you have some kind of low angle, squat routine to pop that region in that way? What's going on here, man?
“Are you smuggling pumpkins... Jesus Christ, my heart is beating like crazy right now. Kinda reminds me of when I went on that meth journey... confronting my inner child."
"Ryan... you wanna take a break,” queried the 1923 alum. “From Blake? Sure,” The Proposal star cheekily concluded.
