Sarah Paulson has shared the secret to her successful relationship with long-term partner, Holland Taylor.
With 81-year-old Taylor once again hitting headlines following her iconic behaviour at girlfriend Sarah Paulson's 50th birthday earlier this week, fans have been wondering how exactly the cross-generational couple got together.
Whilst they predominantly prefer to keep their relationship private, this is actually something that Paulson has discussed before, and speaking to press earlier this year, the American Horror Story actress also revealed the key to a happy romance.
It turns out that the A-list couple have actually been romantically involved since 2005.

They didn't go Insta-official until 10 years later, however - the same year they also began rocking up to support each other at red carpet events.
Sadly, however, the couple have repeatedly been subjected to mass scrutiny over their age-gap in the years since going public, being that there are a pretty hefty 32 years between them.
Along with the likes of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas, and Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, this makes the pair one of the furthest apart celebrities couples at the mo.
Thankfully, however, this couldn't bother Paulson and Taylor less, who regularly gush about one another's achievements online.

Earlier this year, the Ocean's 8 actress also dished the dirt on what the secret behind their blissful partnership really is.
Appearing on the Smartless podcast - hosted by fellow actors Will Arnett, Jason Bateman and Sean Hayes - back in May, Sarah opened up about her relationship, claiming that living apart from Two and a Half Men actress Taylor has done them wonders.
"We don’t live together, that’s the sort of secret," the revealed. "Holland and I, we spend plenty of time together but we don’t live in the same house.
"We’ve been together for a long time now and I think part of it has to do with, we’re together when we wanna be and we’re not when we don’t.”

It sounds foolproof, even though so many of us are conditioned to a 'traditional' living situation with our partners.
Sarah was then asked whether it's possible they could just sleep in separate beds, rather than in separate houses altogether - and Sarah's reply had us swooning.
She said: "No, because we like to fall asleep holding hands, Holland and I. We sleep holding hands. I like to sleep near her."
She then joked: "I don’t want to be around her the rest of the time."

“Just kidding", she added, laughing.
Adding more context to their set-up, Sarah shared a bit of background about their relationship history.
She explained: "Holland, before me, had not been in a kind of long-term relationship, whereas Holland is sort of my third, you know, more than five year relationship.

"So, I tend to do that and have more experience doing that. Holland hasn’t.
"And so, her life, and to get to be her age and sort of not having really cohabitated with someone for a long time, I think it was a lot to sort of all of a sudden have me and all my neediness in her space."
Back in November last year, Taylor also explained that their social batteries are wired differently in an interview with Page Six at the 2023 Second Stage Theater Fall Gala.
“I think we each follow our own path so we’re not exactly the same", she said.
"We do some things separately so everyone gets to be true to what they believe.
"She’s much more social. And I like a little bit of alone time, so I have that.
"She spends some time with friends and not with me, so it’s a good balance."
