Selena Gomez’s boyfriend Benny Blanco reveals ‘gross’ shower habits he ‘doesn’t believe in’ doing

Selena Gomez’s boyfriend Benny Blanco reveals ‘gross’ shower habits he ‘doesn’t believe in’ doing

Benny Blanco has opened up about his ‘gross’ shower habit that leads to his ‘aroma’

Fans have urged Selena Gomez to 'run' after her boyfriend, Benny Blanco, admitted to a 'gross' belief he has about showering.

There has to be some sort of correlation between good hygiene and successful relationships, because let's face it, no one wants to be dealing with unpleasant smells.

But it seems as though it might not be the case, as Benny Blanco revealed his 'gross' shower habit.

The record producer - who featured in People's 2024 'Sexiest Man Alive' issue - started dating Gomez in 2023, but despite his rather questionable hygiene practices, their relationship seems to be going strong.

Despite not winning the 'Sexiest Man Alive' accolade, which was awarded to John Krasinski, Blanco, whose real name is Benjamin Joseph Levin, certainly gained quite a bit of attention from it.

As part of the nomination process, he did an interview with People magazine, where the admission was made.

The songwriter was asked about his self-care routine, and his response definitely came as a shock to fans.

He said: "I do a thing where I also don't believe in always shampooing your hair, or conditioning your hair."

Ironically, Benny added: "I'm really clean but I don't shower everyday.

"But some people I know shower two, three times a day, but I feel like the oils on your skin don't have time to rejuvenate and get juicy."

Benny continued: "I want there to be an aroma as I'm walking by.

"I want it to smell a little bit like man, a little bit feminine. I definitely lean, I think, a little more feminine in every sense."

Fans were quick to share their opinions on the producer's controversial 'self-care' practice, with many labelling it 'gross'.

One joked: "Run Selena while you can!"

Another said: "Want there to be an aroma as I’m walking by' YOU MEAN THE STENCH?"

A third commented: "This is something we did not need to know."

But some people were really getting behind the idea of avoiding the shower some days.

One wrote: "People only shower daily because it’s a trend."

While someone else added: "We love him even more omgg."

Talking about her boyfriend in an interview with Vanity Fair earlier this year, Selena gushed over the star.

She said: "I've never been loved this way. He's just been a light. A complete light in my life. He's my best friend."
