The star had her first kiss while filming a Disney Channel show

Selena Gomez has revealed the Disney star she shared her first kiss with, while filming a popular show.

If we told you that Gomez's TV debut was as a young character on Barney, you know the purple dinosaur, you probably wouldn't believe it.

But after her stint on the show, the actress became a Disney Channel staple on our screens.

Gomez shot to fame for her role in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody when she was 11 or 12.

She starred alongside Dylan and Cole Sprouse who took the lead roles, and it seems as though the cast were pretty close behind the scenes.

The singer recently opened up with W magazine, about her first kiss - which she actually had two of.

The star explained: "My first kiss was on TV. I was 11 or 12 years old, and I guest-starred on The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, which starred Dylan and Cole Sprouse.

"It was with Dylan, and it was really funny because both of us were so young. We were figuring out how to kiss. I had never done it, and I was so scared."

However, Gomez added: "My real-life one would probably be with a boy named Juan, and I was 14."

The 32-year-old also opened up about some of her first crushes, after all, being surrounded by Hollywood stars must have set the bar pretty high.

She said: "When I was younger, I probably had too many crushes.

"Jesse McCartney—when Beautiful Soul came out—that was just life-changing for me.

"I loved Chad Michael Murray from One Tree Hill. I also just had crushes more in real life than on actors or musicians."

During her stint on Disney Channel, which ultimately opened the door for her hugely successful music career, Gomez also starred in the Wizards of Waverly Place.

Reminiscing about the show, she said: "I think I am a wizard. Wizards of Waverly Place holds such a special place in my heart. I understand that it's for children, and maybe I've moved on, but the little girl in me hasn't."

But fans of the show will be glad to know that Gomez has actually produced a reboot of the much-loved series.

She hinted: "I've passed the torch to a new generation, hopefully. It's been such a joy."
