While the notion of passing away might be a daunting prospect for some people, for much-loved actor Shannen Doherty, preparing for her death has been somewhat comforting.
The Hollywood star broke the news that she'd been diagnosed with breast cancer back in 2015.
The following year, she revealed that it had spread to her lymph nodes.

Since then, the 52-year-old star has been upfront about her health, sharing regular updates with listeners of her Let's Be Clear podcast.
In the years since her original diagnosis, Shannen has undergone a unilateral mastectomy, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, announcing in 2017 that her cancer was in remission.
Tragically, however, in 2020, the on-screen favourite was forced to break the news that her cancer had returned, and had reached Stage 4.

And just last year, Shannen went on to reveal that it had spread to her brain and bone.
Despite the harrowing update, the Beverly Hills, 90210 star - famed for having played Brenda Walsh on the much-loved series - has continued to remain hopeful that she'll still have more time to spend with her loved ones.
In January this year, she announced that she'd undergone a brand new form of treatment which had been successful in 'breaking down the blood-brain barrier'.

However, Shannen this week revealed she's been giving away some of her possessions in order to make things easier for her family - particularly her mother, Rosa - when the time does come.
Speaking in the latest instalment of her podcast released on Monday (April 1), she explained: "I'm a fighter and I believe in science and I think that something will come along that will keep on prolonging my life."
Shannen continued: "My priority at the moment is my mum - I know it's going to be hard on her if I pass away before her.
"Because it's going to be so hard on her, I want other things to be a lot easier. I don't want her to have a bunch of stuff to deal with.

"I don't want her to have four storage units filled with furniture."
Shannen - also famed for having appeared on Charmed - went on to admit that she was finding the process bittersweet.
"It feels like you're giving up on something that was very special and important to you," she confessed. "But you know that it's the right thing to do and that it's going to give you a sense of peace and a sense of calm. Because you're helping the people that you leave behind just have a cleaner, easier transition."

Explaining that she was also selling some of the items she'd kept in storage, Shannen revealed she hopes this will aid in raising funds so that she and her mother can travel together.
"It's just stuff. I don't need this, it doesn't really bring me any great joy, but what does bring me great joy is taking my mom to the places that she's always wanted to go to," she told listeners.
"I get to build different memories - I get to build memories with the people I love."
