Tributes are still pouring in to commemorate the life of US actress Shannen Doherty, who tragically died this weekend following a terminal cancer diagnosis.
Amongst those to have spoken out since her passing on Saturday 13 July is her heartbroken mother Rosa, who has thanked all of her daughter's fans for showing their support to her since her initial health blow in 2015.
That was the year that the Beverley Hills, 90210 star first lifted the lid on her wellbeing, revealing that she'd recently been diagnosed with breast cancer.

In 2017 - following both surgery and treatment for the life-shattering disease - Shannen revealed she was thankfully in remission, with fans expressing their relief that she was finally on the road to recovery.
The celebrations were sadly short-lived, however, and by 2020, the TV star's cancer had returned, reaching a stage 4 level and was therefore ruled as terminal.
Shannen's friend and publicist Leslie Sloan broke the news of her passing on Sunday, revealing the 53-year-old had 'lost her battle' with the vicious illness.

"On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting the disease. The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie.
"The family asks for their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace."
Since then, countless fans and celebrity pals have issued their condolences to her loved ones, including her mother.

Speaking to PEOPLE, Rosa Doherty spoke out on her heartache, thanking Shannen's fans for supporting her 'beautiful daughter'.
"She is my beautiful girl and my heart," she told the publication. "Our family wants to thank everyone who has shown love and support for our Shannen throughout her life. We are truly appreciative."
Though Shannen's father John Doherty - with whom the star was extremely close - passed away in 2010, she continually credited her mother as her biggest inspiration growing up.
Also speaking to the news outlet in November last year, Charmed actress Shannen gushed: "I come from a woman who was determined. She impressed that upon me as a very young child like, 'You don't give up. You just have to work hard at it.'

"I think I was always a fighter. I was raised that way to be very strong and that I could do anything that I put my mind to."
Shannen's colossal fanbase have since issued tributes, thanking the star for keeping them entertained, even during her own darkest moments.
Taking to Instagram since, one wrote: "RIP Shannen... and everyone else that's lost the battle and/or a loved one to cancer. Hopefully, one day, cures will be available. She fought this battle so hard. Anyone that followed her journey on IG could clearly see that."

Another penned: "Was just watching Charmed last night…she was a part of my childhood. So heartbroken for her family, friends and fans."
