Strictly's Dianne Buswell cosies up to Joe Sugg after she was upset by comments about their relationship

She's reportedly been struggling with the hearsay surrounding Bobby Brazier

Strictly star Dianne Buswell has been cosying up to boyfriend Joe Sugg after reportedly feeling upset by comments about their relationship.

Dianne, 34, has been paired up with Bobby Brazier, 20, on the show, having sailed through this week’s performance - a dramatic Argentinian tango to 'Sail' by Awolnation – with 30 points.

While judge Anton Du Beke said their dance was a bit ‘too rehearsed’, he admitted it was hard to find fault as it was ‘absolutely clean as a whistle’, while Shirley Ballas said it was ‘much better’ than their efforts the week before.

The duo have been through a lot recently, not least an illness within Dianne’s family that left her looking particularly teary-eyed one week, saying Bobby had been a ‘massive rock’ throughout the ordeal.

Their closeness has led some fans to fear they may become the next victims of the so-called 'Strictly curse'.

However, in a recent interview with Tyla ahead of their dance at the weekend, Bobby didn’t seem too fussed by any hearsay.

Referring to the speculation, which he felt would probably increase following their latest dance, Bobby said: “I mean, I don't care. But I think it will be a great success if they do.”

Ultimately, him and Dianne aren’t not too fussed about the rumours. In fact, it could actually be a sign of how good they actually are at performing together.

“Yeah, I mean, that is the aim of this,” Dianne said.

"The Argentine tango is a very passionate dance and that's what you have to portray. So yeah, you're right. If that is the case, then we've done our job right. But I don't know, we haven't really thought that of the repercussions in front of millions of people."

Dianne is in a relationship with former Strictly contestant Joe Sugg, 32, who she fell in love with after they were paired together in 2018.

A source told the Mirror that the speculation about her professional bond with Bobby have been tough for Dianne, but thankfully they are still ‘very much together’.

The couple posted a cute autumnal snap on Instagram.

“The cruel remarks she has read about her relationship with Bobby - who has been really supportive - have hit her hard," they said.

“Her and Joe are still very much together and he has also been very supportive, and made it clear publicly that he has her back.”

Indeed, the couple posted a cosy snap on Instagram over the weekend in co-ordinating autumnal gear.

Dianne, who was rocking a beige dress, brown knee-high boots and a long coat, was smiling away while her boyfriend posed in the mirror.

Joe also shared some happy snaps of them swimming in an outdoor pool together in sunshine, saying they were 'pretending to be frogs'.

Dianne told us that neither she nor Bobby pay much attention to the relationship rumours or the 'curse'.

“We really never, like get into it,” she said, setting the record straight. “I don't really read much. If I'm honest, I don't read anything. Because I've done that in the past and it's not good. So I tend to not read stuff like that and just get on with what I'm doing my job and that's what I'm here to do.”

Bobby added that his working friendship with Dianne is unlike anything he’s ever experienced before, saying it’s ‘crazy but lovely’.

He said: “I've never had a relationship like this before.

"Like, as far as any kind of relationship with someone goes, this is the most intense, unique relationship I've ever, ever had.

“Seven weeks with someone every day; Dancing, moaning, laughing. Fuming, joyous - just like in the space of half an hour, by the way! It’s crazy but it's lovely."
