Body language expert makes very controversial claim about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's viral Chiefs game moment

Taylor Swift appeared at the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Buffalo Bills last night (26 January) to support NFL beau Travis Kelce

A human behaviour expert has claimed that a video of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce appearing together at last night's NFL semi-finals isn't exactly as loved up as it first seems.

Speaking exclusively to Tyla, body language expert Inbaal Honigman instead believes there may be trouble in paradise for the celebrity power couple, claiming they're going through an 'uncomfortable stage in their relationship'.

Recent months have seen mass speculation hit headlines that there may be some behind-the-scenes turmoil in Tay and Trav's relationship.

Towards the end of 2024, a video of the pair at a Major League Baseball game set tongues wagging, with one expert believing there was a 'slight decrease in this intense affection they normally have'.

The 'Anti-Hero' chart-topper was also said to have been furious at her NFL beau last year, after he made a rather NSFW comment about their sex life during a podcast.

That said, however, the couple still looked uber loved-up during the Chiefs' game against the Buffalo Bills last night, which secured Travis' team a slot in this weekend's eagerly-awaited Super Bowl.

In one clip from the evening, the pair could be seen heading out from the field following the sensational victory, with Travis' arm wrapped around Taylor's shoulders.

Several fans then approach - with Travis hugging one adult male fan with the other arm, and Taylor reaching down to hug a younger, female spectator - before the couple are led off the field.

But the video in question has led one body language expert Inbaal Honigman to believe there may be some truth to speculation of strife behind the scenes.

In fact, she believes that, though T-squared are 'still in love', she thinks they're enduring a rough patch at the moment.

After analysing the video, she told Tyla on behalf of Covers that their facial expressions are 'not matching'.

"When a couple is in alignment with one another, they mirror each other's expressions, they smile together, frown together and look to the same direction," she began.

"Here, we see Taylor smiling brightly as Travis's face is neutral when they greet fans. Then he smiles when she isn't. Their gazes go outwards, each one glancing away from each other.

"This shows us that they are avoiding eye contact and that they are trying not to meet each other's eye, as if they are in mid-argument."

Honigman added that Taylor and Travis appear to be focussing more on giving their fans attention, as opposed to one another.

"[This] is natural for the two stars who are known for their devotion to their fans - but they're not 'checking in' with each other, they're not glancing towards their partner to see how the other one is doing.

"There's no eye contact whatsoever. This isn't a great sign, and they might be in the middle of a fight."

It isn't all doom and gloom, however, with the behaviour professional adding that there are several moments in the clip that the pair are exhibiting aligning values.

"The couple's bodies are in step with each other," she added.

"When a couple is in love, they'll walk in unison, right leg forward for both, left leg forward for both. Taylor and Travis walk in unison which shows that they're in alignment."

Honigman continued: "In addition, Travis's hand on Taylor's back is warm, protective, with his fingers splayed. He is feeling protective over her which shows that he is certainly still in love.

"Their arms, legs and torsos operate as one unit, which is very typical for a couple who is in love and who care for each other.

"There's certainly some trouble in paradise but it's not insurmountable, they are working on it."

Tyla has contacted Taylor and Travis' representatives for comment.
