Ever since fans caught light of Tom Holland and his Spider-Man co-star, Zendaya, getting engaged, the hype surrounding their upcoming wedding day hasn't stopped.
The latest in the saga surrounding the couple saw fans question what surnames both Tom, 28, and Zendaya would opt for when they do eventually tie the knot - and one iconic response to such a question has since gone viral after sending the internet into a right spiral.
Now, the pair have been engaged for a few months now, after the 28-year-old Challengers actress was spotted at the Golden Globes back in January donning a massive diamond ring on that finger.

And, as fans patiently await their wedding day, one asked the question: "So is she gonna be 'Zendaya Holland' or is he going to become 'Tom'," making a reference to Zendaya's singular-name moniker.

Naturally, there was a whole avalanche of responses, but the one which clearly stood out the most was from a historian who shares the exact same first and last name as The Odyssey A-lister actor.
"Please let it be 'Tom'," Tom Holland, the 57-year-old British historian, penned on Monday (21 April).

Upon seeing Holland's hilarious response, which he presumably wrote given the confusion between himself and the actor, one social media user beamed: "Never deleting this app!"
"One of the best tweets ever," praised a second, while a third confessed: "Never thought about how Tom Holland’s name was Tom before."
A fourth chimed in: "He's the kinda guy who would commit and embrace the 'Tom'."

"I’m secretly rooting for Tom Coleman," chirped a fifth, referring to Zendaya's last name, while a sixth echoed: "Tom Coleman is pretty lovely!"
Another also joked: "Zendaya and Mr Zendaya."
And a final clearly clueless fan added: "I had no idea there was another Tom Holland!"
Well, I guess you really do learn something new every day, eh?

Opening up about the pair's upcoming wedding day, an insider allegedly told Heat: "If Tom could elope with Zendaya, he would, but she’s way too level-headed for that.
"She has a vision of how she wants her wedding to be, and that includes all her family being there and having a proper celebration. They both looked at their schedules and tried to figure out a way to fit it in this year, but there’s just no way, and there’s even some question about whether they’ll be able to manage it in 2026."
Tyla has reached out to both Tom Holland and Zendaya's representatives for comment.
