Tommy Fury releases statement following shock split from Molly-Mae Hague

Love Island couple Molly-Mae Hague and Tommy Fury announced their split earlier today in an emotional statement

Tommy Fury has released a statement following the news that he and fiancé Molly-Mae Hague have called time on their relationship after five years.

Taking to Instagram, the 25-year-old boxer penned: "I am heartbroken to share that Molly & I have decided to end our relationship.

"The past 5 years have led to us having our beautiful baby girl, Bambi & I will be forever thankful to Molly for making me a dad. Bambi is our priority.

"Please respect our privacy, and our families privacy, as we navigate our way through this difficult time."

The news comes just minutes after influencer Molly-Mae announced the couple's break up on her own social media channels.

It read: "Never in a million years did I think I'd ever have to write this.

"After five years of being together I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way.

"I am extremely upset to announce that mine and Tommy's relationship has come to an end.

"I will forever be grateful for the most important thing to me now and always, my beautiful daughter. Without us there would be no her, she will always be my priority.

"I want to thank you all for the love you have shown us over the last five years.

"You have all been a part of our journey and I feel it's right to share this with you all.

"Whilst I attempt to navigate the coming days and weeks please kindly respect my privacy over this difficult time, I'll be back when it feels right.

"Molly-Mae x."

The couple first met back in 2019 as contestants on the fifth series of Love Island.

In the months that followed the show - on which they were runners up to winners Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea - the couple went on to move in together in Cheshire.

Molly-Mae and Tommy also welcomed their first child together in January 2023, a daughter named Bambi.

Five months later, they announced their engagement in a sweet black and white video uploaded to social media.

In the clip - recorded while the couple were holidaying together in Ibiza - Tommy could be seen popping the all-important question while holding his little girl in his arms.

The last post Tommy uploaded on Instagram that included his former fiancée was posted on 8 July.

In the caption he wrote: "My everything in a photo".

And just last week, Molly-Mae admitted in a vlog she had been solo parenting.

She said: "I have been solo parenting pretty much the entire week.

"Actually I've been solo parenting for like, two weeks now, basically because Tommy's just been so busy.

"When he's home from doing work and stuff, he's so incredible and so helpful. I can't say any different, like, he's such an incredible dad, but I have been this week, like, just really… mum life has been mum lifeing."
