Travis Kelce has revealed exactly what actually led to the bizarre moment when Prince William started singing karaoke with Taylor Swift and Bon Jovi.

The peculiar encounter, which is arguably one of the nichest celebrity crossovers of all time, took the internet by storm over a decade ago.

No doubt, after Taylor's recent Eras Tour performance in London's Wembley Stadium - the 'Livin’ on a Prayer' karaoke clip began to resurface once again.

For a little context, the whole thing started back in 2013 at the Winter White Gala dinner in aid of youth homeless charity Centrepoint at Kensington Palace, London.

Prince William previously opened up about what was previously dubbed an 'off the cuff' concert.

He recalled on Apple Fitness+'s Time to Walk series: "I'm sat next to Taylor Swift. She's on my left. And after Jon does his first song, there's a pause, and she turns to me. She puts her hand on my arm, looks me in the eye, and says, 'Come on, William. Let's go and sing'.

"To this day, I still do not know what came over me. Honestly, even now I'm cringing at what happened next, and I don't understand why I gave in. But, frankly, if Taylor Swift looks you in the eye, touches your arm, and says, 'Come with me…' I got up like a puppy and went, 'Yeah, okay, that seems like a great idea. I'll follow you'."

The Duke of Cambridge went on: "I walked up on stage in a trance, and then sort of halfway through Jon Bon Jovi's 'Livin' On a Prayer' song, I wake up and I'm thinking to myself, 'Am I standing on the stage singing 'Livin' On a Prayer' when I don't even know the words?'"

He added: "I desperately try and remember some of the words and sing as hard as I can. Beneath my black tie, there was a lot of sweating going on.

"I felt like a swan, where I was trying to keep myself composed on the outside, but inside, the little legs are paddling fast."

Speaking on the New Heights podcast with his older brother, Jason, Travis opened up about the whole ordeal came about, which Swifties across the globe still aren't over even after more than a decade since it happened.

"They had actually met before," Jason revealed before Travis confirmed: "They actually performed Karaoke with Bon Jovi."

Jason then joked: "Are we allowed to share that?"

"Well yeah," the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback quipped, "everybody knows that."

He continued: "'Living on a Prayer' I guess was a song that Prince William loves to sing karaoke to, and so Bon Jovi called him up and come sing this one with me and he was like 'I dunno' and Taylor said 'Let's do this, I’lll roll up there with you, you won’t be the only one'.

"Tay got him out of his shell and they went up there they ripped it and they said he had a blast. I don’t know if any other prince is doing that."
