Forget all the couplings and recouplings in the Villa, Tyla x Budweiser are giving you the summer duo you didn’t know you needed.
The last 50 years of women’s football, much like the love lives of those in the villa…has been a right old journey. From the first official, women’s international football match in 1972, iit feels like we’ve spent the last 5 decades building up to this month's official FIFA Women’s World Cup..
And with the England’s Lionesses, FIFA World Cup campaign, officially kicking-off in Australia against Haiti on Saturday 22nd July - with all games being broadcasted live in the UK - fans all across the nation will be watching and cheering on their team.

Also along for the journey are the England Women’s team official beer sponsors, Budweiser. Having backed the team since the 2019 FIFA World CupTM with their Heart of a King video, Budweiser is once again cheering the Lionesses onto success and getting the nation behind their team!
This year Budweiser have gone all in to celebrate the incredible progress in women’s football, and the amazing success of the England team. Showing us the growth from those games back in the 1970s on muddy pitches all the way up to the present day in sell-out stadiums. Watch the film below.
You can feel the energy lift from the 70s to the 90s, and then just jump even more as we hit the modern day! But whether you’re the nans sitting in the stand with a Budweiser or dazzling on the football pitches like the iconic Karen Carney or (arguably one of the best players in the world) Beth Mead - in parks to packed out stadiums, we know that the biggest part of football has always been about the fans.

And this tournament will be a landmark event, with more fans tuning in than ever before, progressing women’s football even further. For a long time women’s football just did not receive the attention it deserved, but now there is an unbelievable spotlight on the game - long may it continue!
Has it been easy? Not at all. Is the work fully done? Absolutely not.
But, as we all sit eagerly awaiting, what’s set to be, the biggest Women’s World Cup of all time. Now feels like the perfect time to celebrate the progress made and we can’t wait to join our friends over at Budweiser by supporting Sarina Wiegman and her team of inspirational women, sending the message that Greatness is Yours to Take.
Because that’s the most important thing for football (and non-football fans alike) to take from this incredible England Women’s team, who are not only helping increase viewing figures and ticket attendances for the women’s game but also getting fans around the nation to proudly don their Lioness shirts with their favourite players' names on the back. As well as inspiring men and women who have never taken an interest in the game before, to get involved and join in our country’s most loved sport.

And Budweiser’s film helps back that message, bringing fans closer than ever before to this incredible England team. The goal will always be to inspire fans old and new to follow in the footsteps of their heroes.
And this is where the joy really lies; seeing people have the conviction to step into their greatness however big or small that might be, whether that be on or off a pitch. We can only hope to see more of this with people being inspired by the Lionesses if they bring glory home again.
With that in mind, we’re hoping to see another Chloe Kelly viral celebration this summer. Top off, shirt swinging around her head. Inspiring the whole country to come together together - and cheer her on. Not to mention dropping a gif of it in your GC’s and sharing the cellys across social media. And of course - toasting an unforgettable win by raising a Budweiser in celebration
It won’t be easy for the team to bring the FIFA World CupTM home by any stretch. However, lots of this year’s team have known success before and it was just last summer! They showed us back then to NEVER give up and always be ready to take every opportunity that comes their way. Just like Budweiser, they know greatness is yours to take. Do you?
