A bizarre theory has plotted a possible link between Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, with the former being urged to finally take a DNA test.
The two Hollywood stars have gone back and forth over the thought they may be related for some time.
But instead of ringing Davina McCall and getting themselves on an episode of Long Lost Families, it seems the Harrelson brothers are now asking McConaughey to expose the 'truth' once and for all.

But how on earth did the unlikely theory even begin?
The unexpected saga first hit headlines when McConaughey revealed that his mother had once told Harrelson she ‘knew’ his father.
In a 2023 interview, the 55-year-old revealed: "We went on to unpack what this ‘knew’ meant and did some math and found out that [Harrelson's] dad was on furlough at the same time that my mom and dad were in their second divorce.

"Then there’s possible receipts and places out in West Texas where there might have been a gathering, or a meeting, or a ‘knew’ moment."
Both Harrelson, 63, and McConaughey are besties in real life and have previously worked together on the hit HBO series, True Detective - potentially sparking their inner investigators.
However, it appears Harrelson's brother, Brett, 61, has been trying to work on his longtime buddy.
Brett recently told TMZ that his dad and Matthew's mom, Mary Kathlene McCabe's potential hookup timeline seemingly matches up with McConaughey's age.

And it's safe to say the actors sure have a resemblance of one another.
Despite the whole thing being fun and games, McConaughey has been holding off on the DNA test for a very real reason.
The Interstellar actor has stated he wasn't keen on potentially finding out that the man he thought was his father his whole life wasn't related to him.

His dad, James McConaughey, passed away in 1992.
In an interview with The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Harrelson previously explained: "We want to go for a [DNA] test, but for [McConaughey], it’s a much more big deal.
"I mean he feels like he is losing a father. But I’m like, no, you’re gaining a different father and a brother."
In a hilariously ironic turn of events, McConaughey and Harrelson will be spending a lot more time together, as they work on an upcoming TV series, Brother from Another Mother.

The show will follow the story of two Texas ranchers who put their friendship to the test as they attempt to live together.
The question is, would McConaughey ever want to find out enough to take the plunge and do the test?
