By the sound of things, not everyone is thrilled by the news that Zendaya and Tom Holland are set to tie the knot.
In fact, the actress' father has this week issued a pretty savage response to rumours of the pair's engagement, after his daughter was seen lugging a hefty diamond ring around last weekend's Golden Globes.
Despite not walking away with any awards following her appearance on Sunday night (5 Jan) - sadly losing out to The Substance's Demi Moore in the 'Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy' category - the 29-year-old set tongues wagging in other ways.

Mainly, by flaunting a brand new large oval or cushion-cut diamond ring set with a gorgeous gold band on the red carpet, which she wore on the fourth finger of her left hand.
And any wedding fanatic knows exactly what that implies - an engagement!
She and boyfriend Tom Holland met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming all the way back in 2016, but didn't go official with their romance until five years later.
Since then they've boasted a rather low-key love affair, with the actor recently telling press his 'relationship is the thing' he prefers to keep 'most sacred', adding: "We both feel like that is the healthiest way for us to move on as a couple."

Despite their bid for privacy, Zendaya's weekend ring-wearing has already sent the rumour mill spinning.
As we say, however, when approached by press this week about news of their engagement, the former Shake It Off actress' dad, Kazembe Ajamu Coleman, issued a brutal remark, claiming he was none the wiser.
Asked by the Daily Mail about speculation that 28-year-old Tom had asked for his approval before popping the all-important question, Coleman hit back: "That was a bunch of crap dealt out by TMZ."

The outlet in question previously reported that the British-born Spiderman frontman got down on one knee 'in a very intimate setting' in 'one of Zendaya's family homes in the United States'.
TMZ added that her family are elated by the revelation, reporting that they 'love' Tom and see him as a 'class act'.
Addressing engagement rumours in general, however, Coleman added, 'I don't know what you're talking about', before allegedly refusing to comment any further.
So, we can't be 100 per cent sure that the duo are planning to exchange vows, we at least know it's on Tom's radar.

"I've spent the last six years being so focused on my career," the actor told PEOPLE Magazine back in 2021, adding that he 'can't wait to be a dad'.
"I want to take a break and focus on starting a family and figuring out what I want to do outside of this world."
