'New Year, New Me', Rihanna captioned a video of herself ringing in 2025 earlier this week.
Sadly, however, not all of her fans are finding the joy in the singer's latest upload, with many being left with the same seemingly disappointed question.
The much-loved musician took to social media on Thursday (2 January), where she shared a video presumingly recorded on New Year's Eve.

Surrounded by some gal pals, Rihanna - real name Robyn Rihanna Fenty - could be seen holding an iPhone in her hand which counted down from five until the musician yelled out smiling: "Happy New Year!"
It was then that the mother-of-two - who shares sons RZA and Riot with fiancé A$AP Rocky (Rakim Athelaston Mayers) - then says, 'Ya'll, I didn't drink all year'.
As we say, in the caption, the singer - who also happens to be the best-selling female recording artist of the 21st century - wrote: "New Year, New Me".

Not all fans want a new RiRi this year, however - what they do want is new music.
In fact, some seemingly believed that her countdown was going to launch a batch of never-before-heard singles, a music video, or possibly a fully fledged album.
"does this version drop music?" one demanded.
Another joked: "new year new me? SO THATS NEW MUSIC RIGHT".

A third asked: "New year new you new album ?"
"Yeah you didn’t drop any music all year either," another disgruntled fan noted.
A fifth confessed: "I thought it was the countdown for the album drop"
"girl it’ll make 9 years since anti dropped… it needs to be new year, new music sis," another pleaded.

Rihanna hasn't dropped a new album since January 2016, when Anti - which featured tracks like 'Consideration', 'Work', 'Love On The Brain' and 'Needed Me' - landed.
She last spoke of new music in April last year, telling Entertainment Tonight that the number she's been working on in the recording studio in recent weeks has been 'so good'.
And asked whether any musicians - including her rapper beau and baby-daddy A$AP - would be making an appearance on any of her new material, she teased: "I mean, it's up to them.

"I already got stuff that I feel like I can make hits out of, really."
The chart-topper was also asked at the time whether we can expect a release anytime soon, to which she replied: "I wanna know, too."
