S Club 7's Hannah Spearritt 'left out of reunion tour' as band are 'ordered not to speak to her'

S Club 7's Hannah Spearritt 'left out of reunion tour' as band are 'ordered not to speak to her'

S Club 7 announced Hannah Spearritt would not be involved after Paul Cattermole's death

S Club 7 singer Hannah Spearritt has been described as 'devastated' after she was allegedly 'left out' of the band's upcoming reunion tour.

Spearritt, 42, was one of the original members of S Club 7 when the group was formed in 1998, along with Tina Barrett, Paul Cattermole, Jon Lee, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O'Meara and Rachel Stevens.

Earlier this year, the band surprised fans by announcing a reunion tour to celebrate their 25th anniversary, with all seven original members set to return. Just two months later, Cattermole sadly passed away at just 46-years-old.

Cattermole's death rocked the band, and in May, five members of S Club 7 got together to make an announcement.

Lee told fans: "You've probably noticed that there are only five of us here today and, although Hannah will always be part of S Club 7, she won't be joining us on this tour. We wish her all the best for the future."

The announcement came after Spearritt told The Sun Cattermole had been 'looking forward to the tour the most out of all of [the band members]'.

"He just wanted to have fun and enjoy it," she said.

Now, sources familiar with the inner workings of the tour have claimed Spearritt was unaware that she was being 'left out' of the tour, and that she only found out when the announcement was shared online.

“Hannah is devastated," the source told The Sun. “She was pushed out, and doesn’t understand why. The rest of S Club has been told not to contact her.”

“The rest of the band signed their contracts to go on tour in the blink of an eye and said Yes to everything," they continued.

“For various reasons, Hannah took her time and pushed back on a few details. Suddenly, without her knowledge, S Club’s comeback was launched without her.

“The announcement was made on social media, and she knew nothing about it. It was incredibly hurtful. A ton of lies are being written about poor Hannah, who very much wanted to be part of the tour. But she had issues which needed resolving.

“The rest of the band are not even speaking to her. The truth needs to emerge. It’s outrageous what’s going on. Hannah is going through hell. It’s so sad it had to come to this, and fans will find it unbelievable.”

Agents for the band are said to have 'acknowledged' that Spearritt did not sign the initial contract presented to her for the reunion tour, and claimed Spearritt had not spoken with the band.

The source further alleged that 'lawyers are involved' as Spearritt 'hasn’t been as easy to manage as the other band members, who signed up for the tour without hesitation'.

Spearritt is now said to be writing a book which will allow her to share her own experiences of the handling of the reunion tour.
