Get your bucket hats and Adidas Gazelles at the ready - Oasis are officially back for a run of shows that are sure to sell out within seconds - prompting some music fans to make comparisons to another music act.
The Mancunian band, fronted by brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, were formed in 1991.
With the release of their debut album, Definitely Maybe, in 1994 they received global success and went on to become the fastest-selling debut album holders in British history, at the time.

They went on to break a number of other records - including their now-iconic live shows at Knebworth for two nights in a row, to crowds of 125,000 each.
This was the largest outdoor concert in UK history at the time.
They eventually split in 2009 after a number of high-profile spats between the two brothers.

Liam issued a statement on the band's website in August that year that read: "It is with some sadness and great relief... I quit Oasis tonight. People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer."
The breakdown of the relationship between the minds of those who wrote 'Wonderwall' and 'Don't Look Back in Anger' broke many music fans' hearts across the world.
With their arguments leaking out into the public sphere many times through the years, it seemed impossible we'd ever get a reunion.
Yet, it was confirmed yesterday (27 August) that the band will reunite for a 14-date tour in 2025.

The outpouring of total elation and excitement from fans of all ages has prompted those who are less-rock and more-pop to make an interesting comparison.
Many are saying that the reunion is, for middle aged men, what Taylor Swift's Eras Tour is for young girls.
This is largely spurred on by the fact many people have proven to be very protective over Oasis, and pre-judging those of younger generations who will get to go - reminiscent of many Swifties' attitudes towards those who aren't die hard Taylor fans getting tickets.

Another obvious comparison is the sheer number of people who will be scrambling to get the coveted tickets - and the inevitable crashing of websites that will follow.

One person wrote on X: "This is the eras tour for the lad who was absolutely insufferable at college and hijacked gaff playlists to play cigarettes and alcohol doing the most annoying liam impression ever, unfortunately, I was that insufferable lad, up the Oasis."

Another said: "You all got to be incredibly annoying about the Eras tour I’m allowed to be annoying about Oasis alright."
A third added: "Oasis tickets online queues are going to make Eras Tour onsales look like a leisurely walk in the park."
A fourth chimed: "I hope all the oasis fans enjoy swapping friendship bracelets and dressing as their favourite era of gallagher brother."
Where can I buy Oasis tickets?
Fans will be able to buy tickets from 9am on Saturday 31st August from Ticketmaster, SEE Tickets and GIGSANDTOURS.
