Netflix's Unsolved Mysteries series told the story of Abdul Aziz Khan's kidnapping in 2017, who has now been found at the age of 14.
On February 23, 2025, police uncovered Abdul Aziz Khan in the back seat of a car, after being missing for seven years.
His story appeared on an episode of Netflix's true crime docuseries - Unsolved Mysteries - where they discussed the theory that his mum, Rabia Khalid, was allegedly responsible for his disappearance.

The boy, now 14, was found 1,400 miles away from the home in Atlanta, Georgia, that he was taken from on November 27, 2017.
Here's what we know about his disappearance and how police came to discover the teenager.
When did Abdul go missing?

Seven years ago, it was alleged that Rabia fled her family home, with her son, and her husband Elliot Blake Bourgeois.
On the same day, she failed to show at her custody hearing in Atlanta, which prompted police to issue a warrant for her arrest.
His father, Abdul Khan, and mother, had separated in 2014 and shared custody.
Douglas County Sheriff Darren Weekly reported that: "When it appeared that the father was going to get full custody, that is when the mother left with the child."

Neither Khalid nor Bourgeois were seen publicly until Abdul was found on February 23, 2025.
How was the boy found?

After a homeowner in Colorado had spotted suspicious activity on their security cameras, they called police to attend the house and gauge the situation.

Upon their arrival, police noticed two children sitting in the back of a car which was parked on the driveway, as the two burglary suspects left the property.
They questioned the individuals for four hours in total, but holes started to show in the corroboration of their stories.
After following leads, police finally identified them as Khalid, 40, and Bourgeois, 42.
One of the children in the car was consequently identified as now 14-year-old Abdul, but the identity of the other child has not been revealed.

They were each charged with second-degree kidnapping, forgery, identity theft, providing false information to authorities, and trespassing.
However, as Khalid is Abdul's biological mother, she cannot kidnap her own child, as per the US law.
Speaking to KDVR, Douglas County Sheriff Darren Week said: "Their ability to recognise the discrepancies in the suspects’ story and to follow the leads, even when the situation seemed unclear, ultimately led to the safe recovery of a child who had been missing for seven long years."
