Adolescence star Owen Cooper has opened up about his first ever time on set, revealing there was one unpleasant moment he had to endure while filming episode three.
Almost no one can quite comprehend how the actors starring in Adolescence were able to film each episode in one take, but the boy who has everyone talking is 15-year-old Owen Cooper.
He portrays 13-year-old Jamie Miller who is accused of murder in the crime-drama, but one mesmerising detail has shocked viewers potentially more than the plot-line.
Cooper had never stepped foot onto a set before filming Adolescence. Creator Stephen Graham, who also starred in the series as Jamie's dad Eddie, was very sure about not wanting a young boy who had been through drama school.

And it's safe to say Cooper beyond rose to the challenge.
A big talking point of the show has been episode three, which sees Jamie attend a session with his court-appointed psychologist Briony, played by Erin Doherty.
The intense scene documents a heated conversation between Jamie and Briony, who was there to get an understanding of Jamie's attitudes towards women.

During an interview with Netflix where the two reflected on their scenes together, the 15-year-old admitted there was one thing about the episode that was just 'disgusting'.
Watching a clip back of him drinking a hot chocolate, he said: "That was minging that. That was horrible."
"What the actual drink?," Doherty asked.
To which he replied: "Yeah. It wasn't hot chocolate 'cos it had to get changed.

"It was making the floor sticky or something for the cameraman."
Remembering the moment, Doherty added: "Oh yeah and I remember in one of them it spilt all over the table.
"I could see people in the cameras that could see into the room like quickly trying to clean it up, so by the time the camera came back in. Right okay so they had to change it."

"Aw it was disgusting," the teen emphasised.
Later on in the interview, Doherty described how blown away she was with Cooper's performance.
The star said: "I still feel really sorry for you. It takes a craftsman to really kind of tow the line of anger and vulnerability.
"The fact that you were able to feed those things in without making him a monster in any way is really impressive. And necessary in order for us as an audience to care about you."

And it comes as no surprise to anyone that Cooper has already landed his next role in a new romantic BBC Three comedy-drama, Film Club.
