Fool Me Once fans in luck as ‘phenomenal’ series from same creators lands on Netflix

The beloved comedy-drama series boasts a star-studded cast including Michelle Keegan and Joseph Gilgun

If you're keen on taking a break from the heavier true crime docs popping up all over the streaming platforms recently and cosying up to something a little lighter, you're in for a right treat.

The comedy-drama, which boasts a star-studded ensemble cast of familiar faces, including Michelle Keegan, Joseph Gilgun and Dominic West, first aired on Sky back in 2019.

However, there's a whole bunch of renewed interested after the first four seasons of the 'masterpiece' TV show finally landed on Netflix today (22 August).

In fact, viewers can’t quite believe their luck as the 'phenomenal' series, created by the same genius behind Fool Me Once, Danny Brocklehurst, finally landed on the streaming giant.

The plot of the series, which impressively became Sky's most successful comedy series in seven years, follows the lives of Vinnie O'Neill (Gilgun), his friends and girlfriend Erin Croft (Keegan) in the fictional North England town of Hawley.

After falling on hard times, Vinnie and his mates are driven to a life of petty crime, but when Erin decides she wants to search for a different life and start fresh in a new town, Dylan is torn between following her or sticking around with his mates he's come to consider brothers.

As the group's past indiscretions begin to catch up with them, the realisation hits that they are getting in way over their heads with the lads making the emotional epiphany that need each other now more than ever.

The series is, of course, Brassic and the first four seasons have just been added to Netflix.

Check out the official trailer here:

Unsurprisingly, people have gone bonkers over the streamer's latest addition with many rushing to social media to share their excitement.

One viewer gushed: "Phenomenal television entertainment!" while an X user exclaimed: "Brassic is on Netflix. It’s about to go platinum!"

"The Sky series Brassic is coming to Netflix soon. Well worth a watch, if you haven’t seen it," advised a third, while a fourth chimed in: "Brassic hitting Netflix, bound to be everyone’s new favourite TV show."

Another penned: "#Brassic is coming to Netflix.

"It's rude, crude and very funny (even quite sweet at times). Worth a watch for those that haven't done so already."

And a final X user beamed: "This show is a masterpiece!"

And don't just take the fans' word for it as Brassic also has a near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score of 93%.

Well, that's my weekend plans sorted.

Brassic is currently available to stream on Netflix while seasons five and the upcoming season six will be exclusively available on Sky & NOW.
