Netflix subscribers have been left blindsided today after a hugely-popular, star-studded series has reportedly received the chop from producers.
After landing on the streaming service back in August, Kaos - which featured the likes of Jeff Goldblum and Janet McTeer - sky-rocketed to the number one spot where it remained for several weeks.
If you need a little refresher on what made the show such a hit, the eight-part series is a modern-day re-imagining of Greek mythology.

Zeus - King of the Gods, played by Jurassic Park alum Goldbum - suddenly begins fearing that his reign over the human race might be coming to an end, after discovering a wrinkle on his forehead, implying he's not as omnipotent as he formerly believed.
As such, he wreaks havoc on the world, as several members of his divine family - including his cunning other-half Hera (McTeer), mischevious son Dionysus (Nabhaan Rizwan), and meddlesome brothers Hades (David Thewlis) and Poseidon (Cliff Curtis) - have some fun of their own.
Meanwhile, three humans discover they're more closely-related to these self-absorbed deities than they thought and begin a plot to take control of the system that rules them.

Within days of the show landing, viewers who binged their way through were immediately left hungry for a follow-up series.
Tragically, however, Variety has reported that actor Aurora Perrineau has strongly hinted at the cancellation online.
The TV star played Greek goddess Eurydice in the show, and took to Instagram to share a now-deleted statement about Kaos' future.
"Well… this one hurts," she wrote, according to the news outlet. "I find explaining how I’m feeling to be really difficult, but I’ll try.

"When I started auditioning for this show, I knew it was special, mainly due to the fact that Charlie Covell’s scripts resonated with me in a way most things hadn’t. I knew all of these people, and I loved them all — every flaw, everything."
She went on: "For one of the first times in my life, I have found myself really proud. I’m, of course, proud of everyone’s work and the care they gave to this project, because, let me tell you, they left everything on the floor.
"But I’ve also found myself proud of me, and that is something I’ve struggled with."

The star also reflected: "When I got cast, I couldn’t believe that someone SAW me. A girl who’s not only a minority but also a survivor of SA — and you’re telling me that someone thinks I could be one of the leads of a show, have agency, my own mission, and be desirable enough to be the love interest to not only one amazing human but two?
"I was worthy of that? Everything that happened from that point forward really changed my perspective."
