Netflix viewers enraged over '10/10' historical series fans are binging in a night

Netflix viewers enraged over '10/10' historical series fans are binging in a night

The latest season of the Netflix drama hit the streaming platform last week (11 July)

Netflix viewers have been left less than impressed after sinking their teeth into the latest season of a '10/10' drama.

It's safe to say there's no shortage of stuff for us to binge on Netflix, from the gripping Supacell drama and the Worst Roommate Ever all the way through to the 'nail-biting' Desperate Lies telenovela and the harrowing Man With 1,000 Kids doc.

One of the streaming platform's latest arrivals, however, has caused quite the outrage online after Netflix viewers rushed to social media to share their frustration.

The series, which acts as a spin-off to the History Channel's Vikings, first hit our screens back in 2022 but the third and final season only dropped last week (11 July).

It takes place around 100 years after the events of the original show and, unsurprisingly, people took no time at all to race through all eight episodes, with the drama impressively sticking to the 'No. 3 in TV Programmes Today'.

Starring the likes of; Sam Corlett, Frida Gustavsson, Leo Suter, David Oakes and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, the adventure series features Norse heroes such as Leif Eriksson, Freydís Eiríksdóttir (children of the famous Erik the Red), Harald Hardrada and King Cnut.

In case you hadn't already guessed it, the series is none other than Vikings: Valhalla.

Unfortunately, however, all epic sagas must come to an end, and Vikings: Valhalla is of no exception.

Opening up about bringing the series to a 'natural creative conclusion', co-creator and executive producer Jeb Stuart explained: "I am so grateful to have had three seasons to tell the stories of Leif, Harald, and Freydís.

"I knew from the beginning that I wanted to show the evolution of how three of the most famous Vikings became the icons we know today, and we have done just that."

He added: "I hope when the audience gets to see the new season, they’ll be excited by all the new heights that we’ve taken these heroes."

Fans have since rushed to social media to share their thoughts on the latest season, with one X user writing: "Did anybody else binge watch Vikings Valhalla over the weekend?"

"Watching vikings of valhalla... forgot I'd only watched 1 season so beers n binge watch tonight," penned a second.

A third gushed: "Vikings Valhalla should get more props than it gets, 10/10 show."

Others, however, were left pretty vexed over the ending, with many calling for another season to be made.

"Feeling really disappointed with how they ended Vikings Valhalla. I feel like there was a lot left unresolved with the characters," a fourth X viewer shared. "Knowing this was the final season why couldn’t they have made it longer?"

A fifth hit out: "If Vikings Valhalla is really done, it feels like such a disappointing end.

"Season 3 felt rushed as it was and if they ended it where they ended it, they left out 2 seasons worth of probably the best stories."

"I hate that S3 is the end," another piped up. "There are sooo many more stories to be told. They literally set themselves up for future stories."

And a final X user echoed: "Vikings Valhalla was a great watch but why tf do every season ends tragically stupid leaving you on a cliffhanger wanting to see what’s going to happen next and then you find out this is the last season what a let down."

Vikings: Valhalla is currently available to stream on Netflix.
