Now I don't want to freak you all out by bringing Love Actually up but I think we all need to face facts that summer is over and it'll be Christmas before we know it.
Everyone's favourite Christmas film featured more famous faces than I've had hot dinners, but one particular standout was German model and actress Claudia Schiffer.
It turns out that the multi hyphenate was paid a very pretty penny for her blink and you'll miss it cameo.

So speedy was her appearance in the beloved film in fact, that it lasted a mere 60 seconds.
She played Carol, a parent of hopeless romantic Sam's classmate.
Director Richard Curtis clearly wasn't going to let money be an object when persuading her to make an on-screen appearance.

Claudia's character meets Liam Neeson's character, Daniel, in her short and sweet scene.
They meet in a school corridor as Daniel collects his soon Sam from school.
Daniel, who has been grieving the loss of his late wife, enjoys a brief spark with Claudia's character - who he mistakenly calls Karen instead of Carol.
Daniel says: "Well, I hope we'll meet again, Karen."

Claudia's line is: “Carol. I’ll make sure we do.”
Not a bad day's work, is it?
They are then seen together at the airport at the end of the film, signalling a happy ending for the heartbroken single dad.
According to the book 'How Much?! The $1000 Omelette... and 1100 Other Astonishing Money Moments', written by Andrew Holmes, flush Claudia received the hefty sum of £200,000.

In case you were wondering, £200,000 for 60 seconds screen time works out at £3333 per second.
To add salt to the wound, that 7.2 times higher than the average national wage.
It seems not all actors on the set got the same high-roller treatment.

As per Cosmopolitan, Kris Marshall who played the cheeky and bumbling Colin - who's iconic scenes see him leaving the UK in search of finding women - had a different fate.
It would appear that he returned his pay check for the scene where the three beautiful American girls take his clothes off.
Yep, apparently 'he had such a fab time having three girls undress him for twenty-one takes, that he was willing to do it free of charge.'
He did get paid for his appearances throughout the rest of the film, though.
It seems he didn't enjoy filming the other scenes that much.
