Cynthia Erivo has explained why her and Ariana Grande are so emotional during interviews about Wicked, after fans notice they 'can't stop crying'.
Fans of Wicked rushed to cinemas across the UK today (November 22), as the highly-anticipated film was released for viewers to enjoy.
Erivo and Grande star as the main characters - Elphaba and Glinda - who are two witches with a complex relationship.

With two very contrasting personalities, the musical explores their interaction with the Wizard of Oz, as their lives start to go in very different directions.
The long-awaited release of the film has meant both stars doing a lot of promotion ahead of launch day, and it's safe to say that the journey - which has involved backlash over a fan-edited poster and Grande changing her name in the film's credits - has not been without a significant amount of tears.
Referencing the song 'For Good' that features on the Wicked soundtrack, one interviewer asked the actresses: "In what way has the person sitting next to you changed you ‘for good'?"

Grande immediately burst into tears, admitting that they were a pair of 'cry babies'.
Erivo jumped in, claiming that each had taken a piece from the other throughout the process of starring in the film together.
The British actress appeared on Heart Radio for an interview with Amanda Holden, in which the presenter said: "This movie should be sponsored by Kleenex!
"Every interview I’ve read, Cynthia, of you and Ariana, it just says that you end up in tears all the time."

She responded: "We do!
"And I think it’s because people have come in with such energy and their emotional responses come into the room with us."
The star added: "It’s the first time we’ve been able to talk about it, so we’re both reliving and rehashing all the things we’ve been through and the journey we’ve been on.

"We can’t help it! We get very emotional about it."
Due to strikes in Hollywood, the actress revealed that filming was very stop-start at some points.
She explained: "In fact, the very last song was filmed after the strike, so we were meant to finish and we couldn’t meet, it ended up stopping and six months later finished with that."
Despite the tears, fans have been very supportive of the very obviously loving relationship that they have found in each other.
