Toy Story 5 has been announced by Pixar at their D23 expo.
Whilst many are excited for the prospect of another film in the iconic franchise, most fans all have the exact same complaint, and it leaves a potential massive plot hole from Toy Story 4.

Despite this you'd think everyone is simply hyped for all these amazing sequels right?
Wrong, dead wrong.
Fans have pointed to the ending of Toy Story 4, and stated that a Toy Story 5 even existing ruins it.

Toy Story 4 featured Woody and Little Bo Peep heavily, with the toys finding her at a carnival, years after she was given away.
In an emotional goodbye, Woody leaves the other toys - with Buzz assuring him that their kid will be okay without him.
One fan tweeted: "I'm confused? Woody stayed at the fair with bo peep right? how is he back with them."
Another concurred, chiming in to say: "Where's Bo Peep? I thought Woody abandoned his friends to be with her".

A third fan quoted the first look and said: "mind you toy story 4 ended with woody leaving his family behind to live a child free life with bo peep.
"now the first look of ts5 and woody is back with the gang, no bo peep in sight, and the trash fork in back. we’ve lost the plot so bad".
A fourth fan said: "So Woody just moves back in with the gang after going on the road for his new life with Bo Peep, just throwing it all away to move back in with Bonnie?"

Whilst the film still has a long time to explain what's gone on, with the film releasing in the summer of 2026.
The first look at the film showed that the plot would revolve around the toys having to compete with electronics.
If you told me a year or two ago that Pixar were going to make a film about the Toy Story gang fighting for attention from an annoying iPad kid I wouldn't have believed you, but I guess that's where we're at now.
