Another day, another strange statement about a film which has no significance to the plot or cast.
This time, it’s all about Wicked.
John M. Chu's film adaptation, starring Ariana Grande as Glinda the Good Witch and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba - who becomes the Wicked Witch of the West - as well as Jonathan Bailey, Bowen Yang and Marissa Bode.

It’s a great telling of what happened before little Dorothy became trapped in the land after a tornado blew her house into the land of Oz - as many of us will fondly remember in the 1939 film The Wizard of Oz.
While there’s plenty of singing, dancing and all in all wholesome-ness, it’s not the plot that’s annoyed the former Donald Trump advisor.
It’s the ethnicity of the cast.
Media personality Gina Loudon - a former member of the 2020 Trump campaign and the current patron at Mar-a-Lago - has come out to slam the movie, calling it ‘offensive’ and even ‘racist’ against white people.

She then blasted Grande as ‘obviously Hispanic’ (dear reader, Grande is Italian-American).
Because of the choice to cast an Italian-American woman as Glinda and a black British woman as Elphaba, Loudon has lost her mind.
She shared that she’s ‘kind of sick’ of Hollywood storylines that seemingly make white people look ‘dumb and evil'.

Loudon explained on Tuesday (3 December) on Real America’s Voice that the flick is ‘woke’.
She said: “Wicked, the movie broke box office records. I saw it, but I was very excited at the idea of seeing the interpretation of this. But I should have known it’s Holly-weird – I should have known they would try to make it woke in the ways that they could think of.”
She began her rant at the stars, saying: “Let’s just start with the fact that they have Ariana Grande, who is obviously a Hispanic woman, playing the part of a ditzy, blonde, white, really villain when it comes right down to it for this particular movie.

“The racism and the racial appropriation I just thought was offensive, frankly. All white people aren’t dumb and evil, and I just get kind of sick of that storyline and I feel like that’s where it started, and it kind of lost me there and it was three hours long.”
People who have caught wind of her comments are rightfully baffled, as one person wrote: “That lady heard 'Grande' and ran with it.”
Since her rant, Loudon responded on her Instagram account after being informed that Grande is not Hispanic.
She said: "So I took some criticism from leftist tabloids for calling #ArianaGrande Hispanic, when she claims to be Italian. Someone actually cares enough to research her race - I don’t. Admittedly, I know almost nothing about Hollywood actors because they mean so little in life. But it’s fine.
"However, my point remains the same and anyone consumed Grande’s ethnicity completely missed my point… so here it is. Oh, and those consumed with race might NOT want to assume mine, while they’re trolling… they might be surprised.

"Hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving and I’m thankful for each of you - leftist trolls and those who always have my back.
"Trolls keep me honest and hold me accountable. And friends make life rich and happy!"
