Gypsy Rose Blanchard reveals what led to her split with ex-husband Ryan Anderson

Gypsy Rose Blanchard reveals what led to her split with ex-husband Ryan Anderson

The forthcoming docuseries Gypsy Rose Blanchard: Life After Lock Up shows Ryan expressing concern over Gypsy's relationship with Ken Urker

The official trailer for the much-anticipated docuseries Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up has dropped, and Gypsy can be seen opening up about the breakdown of her relationship.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who was imprisoned in 2016 and served eight years for her role in the murder of her mother Clauddine 'Dee Dee' Blanchard, is an ex-con turned social media star after her story was made into a TV series called The Act in 2019.

Gypsy's mother had condemned her to a life of Munchausen's by proxy, and ultimately Gypsy enlisted the help of her boyfriend at the time, Nicholas Godejohn, to murder her mother.

After the critical success of The Act and shortly after her release in December 2023, documentary The Prison Confessions of Gypsy Rose Blanchard aired and sparked even more interest surrounding Gypsy.

Following a spate of TV interviews, appearances and the announcement the forthcoming docuseries, people all over the globe became enthralled by her marriage to Ryan Anderson, who she married in 2021 whilst behind bars after they became pen pals.

At first, the relationship seemed to be going strong outside of prison, with Gypsy making an x-rated comment about 'the D' being 'fire'.

The two were pictured together on numerous occasions appearing to be the picture of happiness, and they even stated they could see children in their future.

People were left stunned when Gypsy announced their separation and impending divorce in March this year, just months after her prison release.

The announcement was then followed up with the two filing for restraining orders against one another, and Gypsy getting back into a relationship with Ken Urker, an ex she met while behind bars.

Gypsy stated at the time: "I am learning to listen to my heart. Right now, I need time to let myself find who I am.”

Despite this, the details were shrouded in mystery - and then Ryan chimed in to say that people who watch Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up will be given the answers.

Now that the trailer has dropped, it seems this is very much true - and confirms that Ryan was suspicious about Ken for a while, accusing him of trying to 'weasel back in'.

Footage shows Gypsy asking Ryan: "Are you happy?"

When he says he is, Gypsy replies: "I just think that I would be happier... somewhere else."

Ryan then snaps and says: "Oh, go call Ken. You're probably already talking to him anyway."

Gypsy then begins to cry.

Further footage shows cracks in their relationship and Gypsy seemingly revealing why their marriage didn't work out.

She says: "I don't like being controlled", before adding, "I want a divorce."

The trailer also shows Ken being back on the scene, and him and Gypsy embracing as he lifts her into the air.

It also shows Gypsy getting a nose job and a tattoo.

It's obvious that viewers are in for a truly wild ride with the docuseries and that we'll get all of the answers we've been searching for.

The first episode of Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up airs on 3 June on Lifetime.
