Despite only having landed on Netflix a matter of days ago, brand new fantasy-comedy series Kaos has quickly become one of the most talked-about shows of the year - even if viewers have no idea how to pronounced its name.
Apparently, confusion over the eight-part series' rather obscure title has reached such an extent that a huge theory has been sparked among fans about a behind-the-scenes plot-line they 'failed' to clock the first time.
If you have no idea what show we're yapping on about, Kaos is a brand new star-studded fantasy-comedy series starring Jurassic Park legend Jeff Goldblum and The Women In Black actor Janet McTeer, that landed on Netflix last week.

Since then, not only has it sky-rocketed to the streaming service's number two spot (narrowly behind true-crime thriller Worst Ex Ever) - and bagged an impressive 80 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes - but it's also set off a plethora of fan theories.
For those unfamiliar with the plot, its re-imagining of Greek mythology, set in modern day.
Zeus - King of the Gods, played by Goldbum - suddenly begins fearing that his reign over the human race might be coming to an end, after discovering a wrinkle on his forehead, implying he's not as omnipotent as he formerly believed.
As such, he wreaks havoc on the world, as several members of his divine family - including his cunning other-half Hera (McTeer), mischievous son Dionysus (Nabhaan Rizwan), and meddlesome brothers Hades (David Thewlis) and Poseidon (Cliff Curtis) - have some fun of their own.

Meanwhile, three humans discover they're more closely-related to these self-absorbed deities than they thought, and begin a plot to take control of the system that rules them.
Sounds epic, right?
Well, despite the stellar storyline, viewers have been butting heads over the pronunciation of the show.

Though some fans have been referring to the eight-parter as 'ka-ow-s', it's actually pronounced 'kay-os' - basically, the same way you'd say 'chaos'.
Well, you might be interested to learn that the show is named such, after an ancient Greek deity named Chaos, who - according to thousand-year-old folklore - emerged at the dawn of creation.
Naturally, therefore, Netflix's spin on the show's title is actually quite fitting, given the legendary nature of the premise.
Despite this, some fans have looked even deeper into the show's name, believing they've uncovered a theory about a potential second season.

"I wonder if they are setting up Caeseus to be Kaos. The name sounds alike and we know that he can now bring people back from the frame which sets him up to be a powerful character," one suggested on Reddit.
And apparently, they're not the only one with that belief system.
"I just re-watched the last episode and came to the same conclusion," another wrote back.

"Admittedly there is very little to go on, but the two 'clues' were that 1) he was able to renew a human soul, something even the gods were unable to do and that does fit into the theme of chaos & 2) Caneus' mother calls him Kaos twice after her renewal."
A third then added: "Yes that's exactly what I thought too! And also his mum calls him Kaos after he revives her."
While someone else thought: "Yep. He was even named kaos in the last episode. I think we will see his rise to power."
Kaos is available to stream on Netflix now.
