MAFS UK bride Emma reveals she spent final night of experiment without Caspar as she makes sad admission about Kieran and Kristina

Just hours after fans learned of her shock exit, MAFS UK star Emma Barnes has admitted she actually ditched her 'husband' Caspar Todd on the final night of the romance experiment.

Instead - according to a deeply emotional social media post - she spent the evening with another of the couple's castmates, lifting the lid on the 'beautiful' relationship they had formed.

Investment sales manager Emma certainly hasn't had it easy since she wed partner Caspar last month.

Just minutes after tying the knot, Caspar left both his bride and MAFS UK viewers at home heartbroken after confessing he wasn't physically attracted to Emma.

And though the pair went on to form a close friendship on the show, they were constantly met with issues when it came to their lack of physical intimacy - something that Emma often took to heart.

So much so, that during last night's dramatic instalment, the couple sensationally called it quits, with Caspar telling the resident Channel 4 dating experts: "Emma's fantastic in a lot of ways, but there are things that I need."

He added: "I need someone to need me more than Emma would ever need me. She's a very strong, independent woman."

And while viewers were initially heartbroken for a very teary Emma, only today, however, have they also discovered that she saw their split coming.

In fact, she has since revealed that the couple spent the final night of the experiment apart, and that Emma actually enjoyed a sleepover with gal pal Kristina Goodsell.

Taking to Instagram, the 31-year-old shared a series of snaps alongside Kristina - who herself is partered up with hubby Kieran Chapman - which included a video of the friends popping a bottle of Prosecco, enjoying a day at the beach, texting one another 'love you', and performing karaoke.

And in the lengthy caption, she explained that, though she was saddened that her time on the show came to an end, she actively encouraged Kristina to push on with her own relationship, despite recent woes.

"I have to share this story with you… after the last dinner party, with both couples in a bad way, I got to spend the night with @kristinagoodsell before what I knew was my final CC the following morning," Emma wrote.

"Kieran stayed with Casp over at ours. This was the first time I’d decided to leave the apartment for the night throughout the entire process."

She went on: "We @deliveroo ‘d a bottle of white wine, cried, laughed, cuddled (with the massive koala). We stayed up until 4am talking about our marriages, families, friends, childhoods, relatives, and 'the ones that got away'.

"I got excited about seeing the world, again, cuddling my sister, Heids and my pals.

"We knew it wouldn’t be too long before meeting each other’s villages, with the experiment drawing to a close, and we were both so excited about this."

Addressing Kristina and Kieran's turbulent romance - which had seen hurdles following the bride's recent PMDD diagnosis - Emma added: "I encouraged Stina to stay and fight because her and Kieran have something special, and I’m so happy they did.

She went on: "I remember waking up the next day thinking… this is love. The conversations we had last night showed vulnerability, openness, kindness and it was beautiful.

"I hadn’t had those conversations with Caspar, maybe I should’ve, maybe things would have gone differently? But I know I do open up for the right people."

Emma concluded her heartfelt message by adding: "My lord Stina knows how much that night meant to me, she’s a f**king diamond. So here’s a few pictures of our crazy love - both absolutely bonkers we are xx."
