Married at First Sight UK viewers have been left unimpressed by one bride's group of mates, accusing them of 'playing into her insecurities' and 'enjoying it'.
The beloved Channel 4 reality show is back with a bang and the drama has been abundant since the opening scenes.
Lauded love gurus Paul C. Brunson, Mel Schilling and Charlene Douglas put their heads together to decide which couples should be 'locked in' and potentially embark upon a lifetime of marriage.

They decided to match 24-year-old engineer Nathan with 27-year-old Lacey, and it seemed like a great pairing, according to the experts.
Things took a sharp turn for the worse though when it emerged Nathan had the hots for her twin, Paige, who he mistook for his bride as she walked down the aisle first.
Watch the mortifying clip here:
When waiting for his bride, Nathan turned his neck upon hearing somebody making their way down the aisle.

He remarked: "I can hear the heels," before looking at Paige and adding: "Wow."
The dumbfounded twin then took her seat leading Nathan to ask: "Is that not her?"
He was then told: "No, it's her twin."
Nail-bitingly awkward television.

Nathan then told his actual bride, Lacey, that she looked 'nice'.
She responded: "Nice? I want beautiful. I want gorgeous. I want stunning. Your nan looks nice. Your mum looks nice."
After the ceremony, the friends of the bride told her about what had happened before she said 'I do'.

Reflecting on the moment, Lacey said: "It's not nice hearing that my husband is saying 'wow' to my twin.
"Growing up people used to say how my twin was prettier than me. That's annoyed me only because I didn't get a wow."
She added: "It was a bit gutting, I'm not sure if he fancies me. I hope I am what he wants. I need him to be a good one because I don't want to be hurt. I've been hurt so much in the past, I wanna feel like I am good enough."

But people on social media aren't convinced her friends did the right thing by telling her in the first place.
One person wrote on X: "Lacey’s sister never told her about the 'wow' moment cause she loves and has her best interest. But her “friends” sure stepped in to play into her insecurities. Who needs enemies, eh!"
Another added: "A friend who prays on your biggest insecurity, and gets joy out of it ain’t your friend hun."
A third chimed: "Who needs enemies with friends like Lacey’s?? why the f**k would you play into her biggest insecurity like that??"
