Nicole Kidman revealed she ‘didn’t want to orgasm anymore’ whilst filming sex scenes for NSFW movie

The A24 erotic thriller hit cinemas back in January and soon went viral for its extremely steamy scenes

Nicole Kidman once revealed that she 'didn’t want to orgasm anymore' whilst filming sex scenes for a very steamy movie.

Any A24 fans out there will no doubt know all about the erotic thriller, also starring Harris Dickinson and Antonio Banderas, which hit cinemas earlier this year in January.

The film, directed by Halina Reijn, follows a high-powered CEO named Romy (Kidman) who puts her career and family on the line when she begins a heated affair with a much younger intern, Samuel (Dickinson).

Viewers were treated to a heavy peppering of sex scenes in the flick, but it's clear that filming for such bedroom scenes took quite the toll on the Aussie actress, who said they were so powerful that she couldn't actually go on any longer after feeling so burnt out.

The X-rated flick is, of course, Babygirl, and you can watch the official trailer here:

"There was an enormous amount of sharing and trust and then frustration," she told The Sun when speaking about filming the intimate scenes.

“It’s like, ‘Don’t touch me’. There were times when we were shooting where I was like, ‘I don’t want to orgasm any more'.

“Don’t come near me. I hate doing this. I don’t care if I am never touched again in my life!

“I’m over it. It was so present all the time for me that it was almost like a burnout.”

Kidman also spoke about the importance of the dynamics on set, explaining at a press conference: “I’m a huge believer still in the sacredness of the set or the actors’ space and it never being violated.

“It’s ours, it’s the bubble, and then there’s the world outside.”

Meanwhile, Dickinson praised the work of intimacy co-ordinator Lizzy Talbot, adding: “She was important for the film and broke the unnecessary barrier and conversation around what you have to do.

“Ultimately it’s choreography; when you get into the nitty-gritty of those kind of scenes, you have to be very precise with it and she’s very good at getting straight into it on a pragmatic basis.”

Kidman also told Vanity Fair: "I’ve made some films that are pretty exposing, but not like this.

"This leaves me exposed and vulnerable and frightened when it’s given to the world. I was like, ‘I hope my hand’s not shaking’.

"It’s like, ‘Golly, I’m doing this, and it’s going to be seen by the world’. That’s a very weird feeling. This is something you do and hide in your home videos.

“It is not a thing that normally is going to be seen by the world. I felt very exposed as an actor, as a woman, as a human.”

Babygirl is currently available to watch on Prime Video.
