Scarlett Johansson has opened up about the honest reason why she refuses to take photos with fans in public.
The 40-year-old Vicky Cristina Barcelona actress is one of the biggest stars in Hollywood with a impressive filmography of work under her belt alongside a number of awards.
She was also the world's highest-paid actress in 2018 and 2019 with Time magazine naming her one of the 100 most influential people in the world a few years back in 2021.
Given her A-lister status, it's no surprise that fans jump at any opportunity to get a quick selfie with Johansson - despite this being something she's really not down with.

"It really offends a lot of people," the Hollywood favourite revealed "It doesn't mean I'm not appreciative, of course, that people are fans, or happy to see me.
"But I always say to people, 'I'm not working'. [And that means] I don't want to be identified as being in this time and place with you. I'm doing my own thing."
And as for red carpet events or movie premieres? Well, Johansson explained simply that these instances take place when she is working.
"I like to be in my own thoughts that have nothing to do with what other people think of me," she added.
"I don’t like being self-conscious."

Only Pulp Fiction legend Samuel L. Jackson has a bigger box office than her.
The actress' biggest box-office smashes include Lost In Translation, Marriage Story, Girl With a Pearl Earring, Match Point, Ghost World and, of course, Black Widow.
"My work ethic comes from being on movie sets as a very young kid," Johansson, who was cast for her first-ever role age eight as John Ritter’s daughter in North, explained elsewhere in the interview. "I was immediately making feature-length films.
"I worked with a lot of adults as a young person. My mom really instilled in me the importance of being respectful on set to the adults I was working with. And being prepared for work every day."
