But some have been left feeling puzzled about the ending.
At the end of season two, viewers see Gemma (Dichen Lachman) finally making it out of Lumon, but she does so without Mark (Adam Scott), as he made a heartbreaking decision in the final scenes of the episode.
Many revelations come to light throughout the series, including what Lumon is doing to Gemma and why, as well as conversations about the treatment of Innies, and whether love can transcend severance.
But it seems that the ending we saw, wasn't always the one that production had planned.

Speaking to Variety about the second season, executive producer Ben Stiller said: "There was a brief moment where we thought, maybe we do another cliffhanger where Mark is between Helly and Gemma."
He added: "But, pretty soon after, we realised we can’t do that again - people will kill us. So, we wanted him to make the choice and set up a dystopian conflict."
Season three of the much-loved show has been confirmed, but while we wait for the release, we firstly need to work out what on earth the ending of season two meant?

What's clear from the episode, is that towards the end, Innie Mark helps Gemma to escape from Lumon.
But we then see that when she steps outside of the door, he locks her out.
He then sees Helly (Britt Lower), at the other end of the corridor, and he decides to walk back towards her.
The two then run back into Lumon together.

Some viewers online were left feeling frustrated by the lack of clarity.
One said: "Omg...The Severance finale was infuriating and senseless. No explanation, or closure. What a waste of time."
Another added: "Severance season two's finale was almost as perfect as can be. I understand why it ended that way with a season three on the way, but the last two minutes slightly soured an incredible episode."

Speaking to the Radio Times, Lachman explained the moment from Gemma's perspective.
He said: "I think she realises that it's not him behind those doors, possibly.
"I just realised it's possible that she doesn't know if he is severed or not, because when he rescues her, it's all just, like, crazy... it's such a short period of time they have, it's not like he can explain the whole thing to her. I'm going to have to ask Dan [Erickson, creator] about this!"
Concluding his take on the situation, he added: "I think she's just trying to get through to him... I just remember needing to get to that place. She's so devastated. Like, 'Why isn't he coming out the door?' It's very sad."
