1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton is being refused skin removal surgery following her staggering weight loss.
Any fans of the TLC programme will know all about the 38-year-old health journey after losing a staggering 500 pounds following a bariatric surgery in 2022 and 14-month stay in a weight loss rehab facility.
Even though she has accomplished so much through her journey, she may have to wait a long time to be able to get the skin removal surgery done.
People following Tammy's story will know that, after losing the weight, Tammy's been eagerly looking forward to finally having her skin removal surgery, a procedure that removes excess skin and fat from different areas of the body.

In a clip posted yesterday (14 November) on TLC's official Instagram account, Tammy's doctor, Dr Brad Turner said: "With your situation, you're little over a year out.
"I think you hit your your lowest weight, usually around 18 months."
He then told Tammy he would let her bariatric surgeon Dr Eric Smith's work 'keep on doing its job'.
"OK, I'm definitely not telling you 'no' - I'm just telling you not tomorrow," Dr Turner added.

Speaking to the cameras, the doctor explained: "Tammy is not currently a candidate for skin removal surgery because she's only about 13 or 14 months out from her weight loss surgery.
"At this point, she should probably continue to lose weight over the next six months to a year, get to her goal weight, and then we can re-approach the topic with her."
Tammy was clearly unhappy with the news and didn't let Dr Turner 'take a look' at her skin to examine it.

Fans of the TV show have since rushed to the comments to share their support for the reality TV star with one writing: "Hang in there Tammy.
"You went through absolute hell and the light is starting to shine in that long tunnel. You are doing great. I am in awe of you."
Another assured: "I understand why. The doctors want her to lose all of weight she wanted to lose. Then do the surgery.

"They don’t want to do this more than once. It's not good to keep having surgeries on the same places. They know that she will need some major work and the healing time will be long.
"Tammy trust your doctors they know what they are doing."
And a final Instagram user echoed: "HANG IN THERE TAMMY. YOU GOT THIS YOU'RE DOING GREAT!"
