Fans of Strictly Come Dancing have noticed that Tess Daly has a 'fake' clap on the show for a very specific reason.
We're now into week six of this series of Strictly Come Dancing, as the contestants approach the Halloween-themed show on Saturday.
Comedian Chris McCausland still remains the favourite to win the series, after viewers have been blown away by his ability to dance, and his improvement every week despite having been fully blind since the age of 22.

His professional dance partner Dianne Buswell has explained that it has been a challenge learning new ways to teach Chris, but in an interview with Hello!, she revealed how the two make it work.
She said: "I can't show him what something needs to look like, but I've found that Chris places his hand on my body and feels how my arms are or feels what my legs are doing and then he instantly gets a sense of what he should be doing."
But fans of the show were taken back by something else during this week's result show on Sunday night.

Tess Daly, who co-hosts the show with Claudia Winkleman, was seen to be 'fake' clapping as she introduced JB and Amy Dowden to the dance floor.
One user who shared the bizarre clip on X said: "So…Tess Daly can’t CLAP?!?!"
Of course, there had to be an explanation behind the strange hand movement, and other viewers were quick to note why it looked so weird.

One said: "When you clap next to a microphone it sounds bad, so you just mime.
"It's standard."
Another confirmed the reasoning behind it: "It's what they do on TV.
"Remember reading something from Susie Dent (I think) a couple of years ago that they do 'fake' clapping on Countdown as it would mess up the audio, and instead just add the applause electronically (obviously at Strictly you have the audience for that)."

But the user who posted the clip said she could have at least made it look slightly more realistic.
"At least make it believable, Claudia manages to look human while pretending," they noted.
One joked that it wasn't really the presenter, but a 'robot' who had done a bad job of imitating her.
