Wicked fans are urging each other to play one of the movie's songs just before midnight on Tuesday (New Year's Eve).
Wicked was released earlier this year and has blown fans away, with many desperate for the second instalment coming in 2025.
The film - which stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo - tells the story of Glinda and Elphaba's unlikely friendship after they meet at Shiz University, and ultimately reveals how Elphaba became 'wicked'.

Not only are fans loving it, but many have even watched the movie multiple times, and the soundtrack has been dominating the charts for weeks.
One song, 'Defying Gravity', has been a particular hit with viewers, and now, fans have vowed to listen to the track as they ring in the New Year.
On Instagram, Kiss FM explained: "Did you know if you start Defying Gravity at 11.53pm on NYE, this part will play at midnight?"
In the clip, social media users could hear Cynthia's breathtaking riff at the end of the track.
One person commented: "I just did a test run… and it checks out. The original song is 7min 39sec long, but, she belts out, 'Ahhhhhh!' At 7 min 1sec. So you have to start it as soon as the clock strikes 11:53."

And a third added: "If I don’t see hundreds of reels of people doing this on NYE I’m gonna lose it."
Others asked what time they would have to start the movie for it to finish at that exact point, too.

There's recently been some exciting news about Wicked, specifically, when fans can expect the second movie to drop.
Posting on social media earlier this month, the official Wicked account said: "You will be changed. Wicked: For Good, only in theaters November 21, 2025."
And it's fair to say fans went wild over the news, with one person commenting on the post: "I’M STILL RECOVERING FROM PART ONE."
While another said: "Just take my money already, including all the new merch for this."

And a third added: "I have been changed 6 times by part 1 and will probably see it again!"
Others couldn't stop gushing about the new title, with someone else adding: "Just the name already got me choked up."
The title of the movie corresponds with the same name as one of the songs that is set to be in the second instalment, titled 'For Good'.
