If there’s one thing that’s synonymous with the summer, it’s Mr. Whippy ice cream.
Tucking into a crunchy cone topped with delicious and creamy soft-serve is enough to transport anyone to faraway thoughts of holidays - even if you are only out for the afternoon at your local park.
So, when one woman spilt the beans (or rather, the cream) on how to re-create an iced treat that’s inspired by the man himself, we just couldn’t wait to try it. Check out Emmah Ord’s ‘Mr. Whippy’ ice cream hack here:
Emma’s hack has garnered the attention of many fellow ice cream lovers, who commented: “Wow amazing gonna give this a go!”

Another onlooker added: “Love it, I'm going to try this.”
So, if you’re sold on trying this homemade Mr. Whippy alternative, here’s how to make the summer treat at home, as per @emmahord4.

Method:
- Using an electric whisk, whip cream until stiff peaks begin to form.
- Pour in condensed milk to your desired sweetness - the more you add, the sweeter the ice cream will be.
- Mix together until combined.
- Add in the toppings of your choice - sprinkles, chopped nuts, or swirl in some melted Biscoff spread for an indulgent treat.
- Pour into a freezer-safe Tupperware box.
- Leave for approximately three hours, or until it reaches ice-cream consistency.
- Enjoy!
And if you’re looking for another sweet treat to get you through the warmer weather, look no further than cheesecake sticks.
With the heatwave in full swing, and temperatures having been expected to reach 40C in some areas of the UK this week, it’s no wonder we’re still looking for ways to keep cool.
