Baba Vanga’s chilling prediction for 2025 may give us a pretty eerie insight into what the Doomsday Clock update is going to be.
Baba Vanga, real name Vangelia Pandeva Gushterova, was a Bulgarian woman who was blind since childhood and predicted world events throughout history.
Despite dying in 1996, the famous mystic made sure to predict a range of world-changing events, even up to the present day and beyond.

In fact, she's predicted events for every year up until 5079, and has been right so many times that she’s gained notoriety for her scarily accurate premonitions, even from beyond the grave.
And now, some historians reckon that both Baba Vanga and astrologer, Nostradamus, who were born 470 years apart, actually made almost identical prophesies for one event, reportedly due to take place this year.
Baba Vanga predicted that a war in 2025 would 'devastate' a huge proportion of Europe, adding that 'Russia will not only survive, it will dominate the world'.

She also predicted that the battle would result in earthquakes striking around the world, with some landing west coast of the US.
When it comes to Nostradamus' estimation, he wrote that the next 12 months would see the 'lands of Europe' break out into 'cruel wars' and create 'foes from within and without'.
In his work, 'Les Prophéties', he added that Britain would be left in ruin after conflict following a 2025 conflict, which would be closely followed by a plague.

"A great pestilence from the past returns, no enemy more deadly under the skies," he eerily penned.
So, what does this have to do with the Doomsday Clock?
Well, we're set to get an update on the Doomsday Clock, a metaphorical device to warn the public about our proximity to self-destruction namely through the use of nuclear weapons, later this week on Tuesday (28 January).
The update will come from the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists.

"For 2025, the SASB [Science and Security Board] will consider multiple global threats in the Clock setting, including the proliferation of nuclear weapons, disruptive technologies like artificial intelligence, the Russia-Ukraine war, Israel-Hamas war, Israel-Hezbollah conflict, bio-threats and the continued climate crisis," the website outlines.
Now, the last couple years have shown the hands of the clock remaining at 90 seconds to midnight - the most dangerous position since it was first created decades back in 1947.
In order to work out the update, the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists asks if humanity is safer or at greater risk this year compared to last year and if humanity is at a greater risk than in the past 75 years.

If they believe the answer is yes then the clock has to move - something which seems highly likely if you're a Baba Vanga and Nostradamus fan.
The scientists will have, no doubt, taken note of the impacts of new US president Donald Trump's extreme global policies which see the 78-year-old Republican leader already threatening to annex Canada and seize the Panama Canal.
