We're less than two weeks away now for the big day and it's clear that many of us are still frantically trying to sort last-minute Christmas presents for our loved ones.

Whether you're looking for the perfect gift for your partner, a gimmicky present for your Secret Santa, or something super sentimental for a family member - the festive period proves time and time again there truly is no greater gift than the gift of giving.

With all that said, it's clear buying presents is not everyone's forte, so to help you out in the gift-giving department, one expert has revealed the three gifts you should never buy women at Christmas.

One woman, Leah, who goes by the handle @leahsgiftguide online, took to TikTok to share her Crimbo no-no's - claiming that the three specific items 'can be seen as offensive or send the wrong message'.

Household cleaning supplies

The first type of present on the rundown were 'household cleaning supplies of any kind'.

Leah explained that if the gift 'can be perceived as a chore' then it 'definitely sends the wrong message'.

"Gifts are supposed to be happy," she added.

So maybe think twice if you've decided to gift Windex this year (although, can't imagine anyone would be happy with that as a present).

Weight-related items

Second on the list were weighing scales, as well as any other 'weight loss or gain items' like supplements which she branded a 'big no'.

She shared with viewers that such items 'could be just taken as downright offensive'.

"And I know what you're thinking. Who does this? According to the comments in my other videos, way more than you think," the expert revealed.

Anti-ageing skincare

Last but by no means least on the list of prohibited prezzies is any kind of anti-ageing skincare product.

"Don't get me wrong, I love a good skincare regiment and I think there's a place for that, but anti-aging specifically sends the wrong message," she declared.

The TikToker concluded the video admitting while the three items 'could definitely be considered a great gift' - they're probably best bought for someone who has specifically 'asked for' them.

Women have since rushed to comments to share some helpful gift-buying pointers with one TikTok user writing: "I love to organise so just get me a Home Goods gift card. Or an Ulta gift card so I can get a whole new routine!"

"I know that some think gift cards are too easy, but I absolutely love them!" echoed a second.

Another warned: "As a skincare girlie - please don’t not gift them some random stuff. Better buy a product, they already like, because skincare is super individual!!"

"Skincare in general can be bad for a skincare junkie cause they are likely picky!!" agreed a final TikTok user.
