It's no secret that people often fall out with their parents and now one woman has explained why she disinvited her mum from her wedding.
Felicity Rae took to TikTok to share why there will be no mother of the bride at her wedding. Watch below:
She said: "I uninvited my own mum from my wedding. This happened a few months ago after months and months of planning.

"I just felt not appreciated, not supported, and I just felt this heavy anxiety and overwhelming feeling that she was just going to make my life and day a living hell on the most special day of my life thus far."
The TikTok user, who has since been praised for opening up about her decision, explained that it happened on FaceTime when she opened up to her mum about her wedding anxiety.
"I told her that I'm stressed out, she knew that I had been feeling kind of overwhelmed, and just under pressure," she said.
"At one point, she even said that this isn't normal and that I should get help instead of being like, 'How can I help?'

"During the call, she said, 'You know what? You've turned quite the f*****g snob lately' - those exact words.
"Immediately, I said, 'You're uninvited to the wedding' and she said, 'That's fine' - and then I blocked her just on social media."
Felicity stressed that her mum was not blocked elsewhere and therefore if he wanted to reach out to make amends, it would not be difficult.

While she has not heard from her since that FaceTime call, she explained that her mum has tried to turn one of her bridesmaids against her.
"She's probably said awful things about me to other people because she's probably embarrassed that she's been uninvited to her own daughter's wedding," she added.
"I just don't want to sacrifice my mental health and be in a bad mood and project that onto my husband on our wedding day.
"It's not fair to me, it's not fair to him, it's not fair to anyone else attending that's not acting the way that my mum might be acting.

"Her behaviour is very unpredictable and I don't know what she's going to do next."
The bride-to-be said that her mum ultimately 'plays the victim' and "she has said to my bridesmaid, 'I will never apologise for anything because I didn't do anything'".
However, while her mum might firmly believe she is in the right, Felicity received a lot of support and praise from TikTok users for her decision.

"You get to a point in life when you realise that you get to choose who you have around," one wrote, "even if it might be your parents."
"Do we have the same mum?" asked a third while a fourth wrote: "I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I'm proud of you for establishing boundaries."
Meanwhile, a fifth shared: "I just uninvited my mom to the morning of my wedding while I'm getting ready because I knew she'd say something mean and negative and ruin my day."
