These days, every company going has a social media presence.
Most exist to give disgruntled customers updates on their orders or respond to general queries.
Yet some have taken on a personality of their own, giving viewers plenty of laughs along the way.

One of the most iconic exchanges on Supermarket Twitter (I can’t believe I just said that), was when Aldi faced off with Marks & Spencer over caterpillar cake.
Once upon a time in 2021, M&S attempted to sue Aldi over their ‘lookalike cake’ to Colin the Caterpillar. Aldi’s cake is called Cuthbert, FYI.
Eventually, M&S settled the lawsuit. But both saw their chance to tweet some social media gold.

M&S posted on Instagram: "Colin won’t be commenting, but says thanks for your support. #OGColin."
In retaliation, AldiUK tweeted: "Cuthbert has been found GUILTY… of being delicious."
Another tweet followed: "Marks & Snitches more like. #FreeCuthbert."
It had the entire platform splitting their sides.

And it seems the feud isn’t quite over yet.
Today (9 April), Aldi have gone viral yet again with another swipe at the luxury supermarket.
On their official Facebook and Instagram pages, they posted a photo of M&S’s £669 garden dining set, complete with a table and four chairs.

In the middle of the table sits a bottle of wine.
Pretty innocent, right? Probably from their very own M&S shelves... right?!
Wrong.
Alongside the screenshot of the M&S product, Aldi wrote: ‘Marks and Spencer drink Aldi wine pass it on.’

And, a zoom in does show that the bottle has the Aldi ‘Specially Selected’ logo on it, clear as day.
The wine in question is Aldi's Specially Selected Côtes De Provence Blanc - which is now sold out (of course).
Well, people have been flooding social media with their reactions to Aldi v M&S round two.
One person wrote: “If I had spent £669 for a table and chairs to get rained in 364 days a year, I would need some ALDI wine.”
Another person said: “I swear m&s do this on purpose to get some attention cos they know aldi are the stars of the show.”
A third chimed in: “Oh how wonderful. On this horrible rainy day this has made my day.”
And Aldi cheekily replied: “Least they picked a good bottle, now we can say they have taste.”
Hard to imagine how M&S can come back from that, but we’ll be waiting...
A spokesperson for M&S told Tyla: "Sometimes you regret asking guests to BYOB – this one is fine for a prop but if you’d prefer to enjoy a top-quality bottle of award-winning rosé with your new garden furniture, we’d recommend our gorgeously fruity and aromatic Collection Côtes de Provence Sainte-Victoire rosé – an absolute must for lovers of pink drinks in the sunshine!”
