We are, of course, talking about scrambled eggs. A cheap and relatively easy meal to whip up for your loved one on a lazy Sunday morning.

As mentioned, traditional scrambled egg recipes usually consist of three key ingredients: egg, a dollop of butter and a splash of milk.

However, one chef has taken to social media to share a special addition that can be made to this firm favourite to tantalise your taste buds and make you wonder why you never included it before.

On top of this, this secret weapon is just as cheap as your base ingredients - at just 89p from most UK grocery retailers - AND will make your scrambled eggs as fluffy as clouds.

Despite not revealing his name, the cooking connoisseur in question - who seemingly works for Fallow restaurant in London - shared his recipe on TikTok.

"This is how you make scrambled eggs, like a chef," he says as he begins his demonstration in the now-viral clip.

"Three eggs minimum, or if like me, you're greedy, we're gonna go for five."

Cracking the handful of eggs until the bowl, the chef then went on to salt and pepper the runny mix.

Setting it aside, he then throws a knob of butter into a hot pan, allowing the yellow mixture to melt.

"We're gonna make a lovely roasted brown butter," he continues. "It's gonna have a nice nuttiness."

Once the pan is hot and the butter has metled, the chef then turns the heat off and carefully pours in the egg mixture.

"Once the butter is nice and brown, off the heat, and add your eggs," he continues.

The secret ingredient has blown viewers away.

To top off this already widely-adored meal, however, the chef then adds his secret ingredient.

Just before the juicy eggs are fully cooked, he is seen taking the pan off the heat once again, proceeding to add a hefty dollop of crème fraîche.

As we said, you can buy this creamy addition from the likes of Sainsbury's, Tesco and Asda - all for less than £1.

Mixing the crème fraîche into the eggs until the consistency becomes light and frothy, the beaming chef then serves everything on a bed of toast.

He then tops the dish off with some black pepper and sriracha sauce.

"That's how you make scrambled eggs like a chef," the chef concludes.

And it seemed as though viewers of the clip were delighted with the recipe, with many taking to the comments to insist they'll be whipping it up at the weekend.

"Yes this is the best way sooo good," one penned, while another added: "Just made this and it was unreal!"
